Whilst Nightingale is a great player and a great fit for the Dragons style, and well up there, he's not the best winger IMO. A few more performances like that would change my mind though.
I don't know if Nightingale is the best winger in the game or not, but I do know, as do all Saints fans, that he has those performances pretty much every week. He is pure gold. Thank God he re-signed for a long time.

I wonder where Nemesis is at the moment.

My money is on him returning and trying to claim some sort of win in that LOL@50uff$ (oops, slip up, I'm going to hell :() weren't smashed by the 30-40 many were expecting.

Great game tight contest. Difference was Dragons had 17 men playing fantastic, Souths had 15 men playing fantastic

One of the best games of the year. It was very entertaining to watch and in the end I'm sure very good to watch for Dragons fans. I cant wrap 15 of the blokes in the red and green tonight enough as they busted there arses against the best team in the comp.

For Talanoa and Wesser though - deadset..

Great game, I wonder how many weeks souths will keep that type of effort for?
No excuse not to back up. If we could go toe to toe with the benchmark for 67 minutes there is no excuse not to be equally as good with the Bulldogs and Sharks and get 2 wins.

Twice we were literally inches away from tries. With the same amount of effort those close calls turn into tries against lesser teams.

No more Lol@Souffs from me. Fantastic game of footy, and Souths fans should be mighty proud of their team's effort. Good reminder that you don't need a stack of tries to make an exciting game of footy. Some nice work from the Souths halves. Sutton is a fantastic player when he runs at the line, but he's not a ball-player's arsehole. Very much like Braith Anasta and Trent Barrett.

Well said. There is such thing as an honourable loss and this is one of them. To go that well against a great team with the 2 worst players on the field shows what a team effort it was.

And with Sutton, just like Anasta, he'd be so much better in the back row. That and the 2 sackings that so obviously need to happen...let's see if Lang figures it out.

No more LOL@50UFFS for at least a few weeks for me either. Defense really stood up tonight. Our attack is ordinary though.

BM, the other day you were saying how all our games were low scoring and boring and Souths get all the FNF because its high scoring and exciting. At least you have come around now.

I'll admit a low scoring tight game like that for 65+ minutes is awesome.

A good demonstration of how important Fien is to our team tonight. Young is a fantastic back-rower and cover-defender, but not much chop at hooker. Fien gets us rolling so much more effectively.
