Anyway..........
Onto the game, which I probably wont get to see and will instead have to either listen to on a crappy radio channel with poor reception or keep clicking the refresh button on the NRL site, I think it miht be close if Souths get their sh*t together in a big way.
The question is can they get their sh*t together in a big way?
They had it all to play for in round 26 last year and managed to f**k it up.
In an eerily similar kind of way, they have it all to play for tonight.
No one is questioning their attacking ability, it has been the D or lack thereof which has been the issue.
If they can tackle effectively and attack to their ability they are a real shot.
If they think some half arsed passing out to Dave Taylor or similar will win them the game then they will be in for a very rude awakening, I think Saints watch videos..........
Both teams will be missing their top line props but I think the attack of both should be near to un-interupted from the norm.
Souths must approach this game believing they can win, if they get behind and get their heads down then it might be a long night for them, not score wise as Saints tend not to click too far past the 30+ scorelines as they aren't that enterprising, but statistically Saints will give the Rabbitohs about 4 shots at scoring in 80 minutes, Souths would need to execute them all and not give Saints the usual 7 or 8 shots they have been providing to other teams.
If Souths spill the pill in their own 20 zone a few times then it could be game over before half time as they do not posses a defence to hold other teams out.
It has been pointed out that Souths do most of their work inside the oppositions 20, they'll need a good kicking game and luck to get near it and they must do something when they are in it.
Saints can afford to drop the intensity down a bit compared to the Dogs game and would still come out of this winners.
Tip
Saints by 12+ but no more than 18
