When do the Broncos play the Storm? The purple scum are the only team I can see toppling the donkeys at the moment.

Terrible terrible scheduling.

I'm happy with the two points and the match played out as expected - the Bulldogs while very potent lack the leadership to steer them around and can be found wanting during crucial stages of the match.

Ben Hannant was awesome tonight, really answered his critics and according to NRL stats ran for over 200m.

Watching this delayed but geez Wallace either knocked it on or through the pass a mile forward in the lead up to the Beale try. The player who ended up knocking it back to Beale was offside, a mile in front of Wallace, a definite penalty.

Oh and Devicich is a horrible ref. I pity anyone who gets him, he's up there with ol' ranga beard.

Would love to see where all the dogs fans who couldn't stop bagging Bryson Goodwin game in, game out have gone to. A little extra speed doesn't excuse you from being a complete idiot Lett.

Maher was just being modest.

St. George Illawarra and Melbourne are easily our biggest competition at this stage. Plenty of teams can step up between now and September too.

Oh and another thing. Dogs won't go close to winning a comp with Hodkinson as there main kicker. He consistantly either finds the opposition or kicks it very shallow. Watching the Broncs start a set consistantly 30 metres out compared to the Dogs 5/10 metres out was infuriating. Keating looked nice as a kicker but he seemed to kick only when in the Broncs half.

Lockyer could continue to play on just as a designated kicker, seeing the amount of influence he has on a game with his boot.

Brisbane's attack is non existant, for the amount of ball we had on their line we should have put more points on.

bulldogs players getting in a lot of cheap shots, do they all practice it at training or something? That's 3 or 4 players who have gone in late to hit a Broncos player in the back.

The Beale try was shady as but I could live with it being BotD. The position of Wallace's hands suggests he dumped the ball backwards before drifting forward.

EDIT: Tim, just caught a replay on the Reed/Barba confrontation and I've got to say - my bad. From the choppy footage I saw it off I thought Barba randomly started giving Reed s**t, pushed Reed then hid behind Reed where as Reed gave him a bit of lip about the kick out on the full and nothing but a smile occured in the in-goal.

Good to see, Barba is a great young talent.

It was a mile forward at normal speed. With the replay it still went forward but not as much as i originally thought.

Bloody Harrigan has convinced the refs that making the wrong decision quickly is better then making the right decision after lengthy judgement. It's ridiculous. He wasn't in line with it. He was in no position to judge. Yet he rules that it's a try. God i hate Devicich. Pray before each game he's your ref fellow footy followers.

To be honest i thought it was a very even game. The main difference was a great kicking game for the broncos compared to an average one from the dogs. Add in the fact that Lett has no common sense what so ever and there is the difference.

Yeah, definite knock on by Wallace. Had the ball in his right arm, which was parallel to his own goal line. If it comes loose, like it did, it can only go on way.
It would have made for a better finish if the difference was 2 instead of 8.

I actually think the Dogs defended amazingly on their own line, but killed the game off with stupid mistakes in attack. There was a definite knock on by Wallace that really put the nail in the coffin; and Lett, wow, very very stupid decision. Aside from that the Dogs looked good in defense, shithouse in attack! That being said, Brisbane's defense is the most disciplined ive seen out of a team in a long time.

Bitterly disappointing to see that try not referred given Wallace clearly knocked it on but that's life.

Refereeing as good as ever I see.

How the f**k was Tolman not penalised at least once for his constant naps in the ruck?

Every tackle you'd hear "Move Aiden, Aiden, get up Aiden, quicker Aiden" yet not one penalty.

The mess that is the ruck this year is the moat frustrating aspect of the incompetent jackassery of the refs bosses.

Not being modest. We don't play you lot until round 15, so I didn't think we were relevant to the discussion of who might actually beat the Broncos in the forseeable future. Personally, if both teams maintain their current form, I expect a similar scoreline to last year's game, something like a 10-8 win to either team. We have exactly the same game plan. Play it safe and trust our defence.

A great defensive effort from both sides i thought ... with each team have chances to score when close to the opponents try line but just not being able to get the job done.

Brisbanes new defensive attitude is fantastic, i really hope we can keep it up for the entire season 8)

On the Beale try, i thought it all looked OK .... Wallace tried to pass the ball backwards and dropped it backwards, and it bounced backwards. maybe we should give the ref a bit of credit as he obviously saw nothing wrong with it and made the call on the spot. If he had any doubt he would've gone upstairs for sure.
