Gutsy effort from the Broncos regardless of the result ..... they really took it to a full strength Storm side.

Yeah not full strength, no Duffie, Champion with 2 Storm debutants taking their place and 4 blokes backing up. Totally agree with you about the Broncs though, very gutsy for who they were missing and were excellent but they decided to leave those players out. Will be hard to beat at the arse end of the season.

I have 3 CDs that repeat "I hate Melbourne" for 80 mins, a CD each of "I hate Brisbane" and "I hate Manly", a CD of "I hate Queensland" for Origin time, a CD of Kiwi and Pommy jokes for when a Test match is on, a CD of love songs dedicated to Jamie Soward and Ben Creagh, and a CD of Lol@Souffs, which any collection would be incomplete without.

Very happy with the game from the Broncos, were in it until the dying minutes and that has not often been the case against the Storm when we have played them without our stars. Things are looking good for the future at the Broncos IMO. Beale is a superstar IMO.

The Broncos certainly had more big guns out but Storm weren't exactly 'full strength'.

Storm with Cronk/Slater/Smith are pretty much full strength. For some reason it doesn't seem to matter who else is out there as long as those 3 are playing. Credit for that I guess goes to Bellamy. Although Blair was pretty awesome. Thought Cronk was probably the difference, looked dangerous all night. Think the Broncos might have got over the line if he didn't play.

As a Broncos supporter you cant help but be proud of the way the guys hung in there. Keep in mind we are missing some key guys with injury as well such as Hoffman/Gillette/Teo and to a lesser extent McGuire.

Yeah Melbourne had seven players out but compare the salaries of those players to the Broncos and there'd be a huge difference.

As everyone has said, big difference in who was missing for each team tonight, and it made the difference with Smith and mainly Cronk orchestrating the win for the better team on the night, as much as it pains me.

Good on the gutsy Broncs to worry them until the last moment, and plenty of youngsters to look forward to in the future!

Whether Griffin did well resting all the players will be judged in hindsight at the business end of the season...

Congrats to the Storm though. Just hope we meat again in the finals!
