Great effort from the lads to fight back twice. We just had too many under 20s players. They were all excellent, but the NYC score lines are big for a reason. We missed Hannant more than anyone imo. Wallace was outstanding and Beale is awesome.

He is going to be signed as a starting fullback by another club in the very near future. Newcastle, most likely.

Definitely one of the best games of the year. I enjoyed it despite my cordial dislike of both participants. I thought the two no. 7s both had very good games, the main difference between the two sides being the no. 9s. And to top it off, I always enjoy a Slater c**k-up (except when he does it for Australia anyway). :p

I think what they are getting at is that while they may not have been at "full squad strength" their most relied upon spine players were there.

Can you say the same for Brisbane?

Don't care. It's 2 points in the big, for an away game in which I budgeted for a loss. You'll take them anyhow you can get them.

We'll broncos again hopefully with most stars back at AAMI and hopefully back it up.

Both teams are the goods this year. It's a three horse race and I'm prepared to call it even though it's early May.

Definitely. All that matters in the end is the 2 points. It's a gamble that Griffin has taken as surely deep down he must have known we had a low probability of winning the game without our stars.

I meant it as a compliment to you guys that with Slater/Smith/Cronk it is virtual full strength (although I think Blair is pretty important as well now to have around). As obviously Bellamy has a system in place (developed over many years) where the change of players outside the spine is almost seemless. Just getting guys to do their job. I think Griffin is trying to work towards the same structure. Earlier in the season he dropped Tronc/McGuire when they seemed to me to be in good form. But the guys that were brought in did their job. Also last season if we had Hoffman/Gillette/Teo out you would definitely know about it. But Griffin is getting guys to cover really well.

I think if Duffie/Champion played but Cronk didn't, I think the Broncos may have gotten away with the win.

My gut feeling is though at the moment both teams at their best, the Storm have the edge. Although you get the feeling that the Broncos are really building towards something this season. I hope so anyway.

Well done Storm. You should be extremely proud of how you guys are still having lots of success given what has happened.
