Coal & Allied Newcastle Knights Head Coach Rick Stone has named his team to take on the Vodafone Warriors at Greymouth's Wingham Park this Saturday 5 February.

Evarn Tuimavave is set to captain the side in his return from a ruptured Achilles which saw the prop's 2010 season cut short in Round 10.

Tuimavave will come up against his former club, the Warriors, and is looking forward to captaining an NRL side for the first time.

“It will be great to come up against the boys from my old club, and I'm really grateful Stoney has given me the chance to lead the boys out on the park,” Tuimavave said.

“When I heard the trial was on in Greymouth I asked Stoney if I could play, because I know it had a big effect on the community and this game will help them get through these tough times a bit better.”

Anyone else notice that play the ball leading to the try was after the siren?
I know it's only a trial but it's a pretty big mistake to make.

lol I noticed that. Was waiting for the whistle, but the ref seemed to be in trial mode and let them just play on thinking nothing could come of it.

Warriors dominated a bit more in that second quarter when Gavet and Houma came on. Makes sense that those two would go harder as they're trying to impress, but they're both very big boys.
