Hmmm I called that earlier in the week. We looked tierd lathargic and finished last week. But Never in a million years did I expect a performance like that tonight. I've never seen one team play so badly and another so well. Way way too good. Congrats.
Go get a "real" one boys you deserve it. Plz plz plz dont let dogs or souths win.

It makes me want to take a shovel to Warrens head every time he says widd-OP

This is so f**king annoying. It's like one day he discovered that there is actually an o in his name and better emphasise it as much as possible.

On the game, Storm were pretty damn good, Manly woeful.

I want Storm to win the big one but I can't help but feel it's all falling into place for an upset.

Back from the game. A couple of thoughts:
Good atmosphere - ground almost full - predictably few Manly folks.
Billy's first 'try' was right in front of me. Never looked like a try live - nor on replay.
Manly looked flat from the get-go.
Glenn Stewart is a cat.
Surprised Bellamy didn't cotton-wool Billy and Cooper - lucky bugger that they didn't get injured in junk time.
Storm's ability to keep getting quality out of average forwards is incredible - Fa'Aoso looking great, Lowe, Norrie - they'd be mediocre at other clubs. Bellamy is a clever boy.

Cause they lost like 6 in a row?

Derp! We lost 5 in a row and then won the next 5 regular season games and then smashed your mob.

I really enjoyed that.

Given how much you hate Storm that's really saying something but glad you enjoyed it all the same

As for the game, while i was quietly confident I wasn't expecting to be so dominant and I'm obviously very pleased. While there's a plenty of work to do if the Storm can replicate that performance we'll take a power of beating next week you'd think. That said it still has to be done and whoever we play we'll have to right on our game.

As for who it'll be I really have no preference who it is, I'm just gonna sit back enjoying the game tomorrow night sinking a few quiet ones and hope like hell they smash the living shit out of each other!

Here's my two cents..

Storm were switched on from the first minute and never stopped really..passes were sticking the whole game and Manly had no answer anywhere.

Sika Manu finally stood up and led from the front..it was the Manu of old and needs to happen next week to give the Storm every chance of winning.

Cronk and Slater...not a lot to say. Once again they are big game players and dominated DCE, Foran and Stewart.

Manly are a strong team but I question the true ability of DCE and Foran who are one dimensional and really offer the backline nothing apart from structured attacking moves. DCE does not challenge the line and Storm just stood back and had a holiday knowing that he had nothing.

Slater's first try was not a try IMO.

Oh and to the Merkin Manly fan who had the 40-0 banner in the crowd...Karma is a bitch.

They're going to take some stopping now Melbourne, that was near flawless. They bear no resemblance to the side I saw in July when beaten by North Queensland.

I can hardly recall a dropped ball or poor defensive read. Even the rookie Fonua is making all the right choices when the ball is shifted into space he's defending. At no stage did Manly even look like breaking their line, and as it turned out, the tries they scored came in fortuitous circumstances.

Canterbury are really the only club that can trouble them I feel. The unusual style they play will be a challenge for Melbourne to defend against. Whereas Souths will already be beaten mentally should they face them again.

For that reason I'm hoping Canterbury win tonight. The game really needs a classic Grand Final to finish the season, we haven't really had one for some years and the Bulldogs and Storm are probably the only two clubs that could give us that.

I think you'll find it wouldn't have mattered if the games were played at fortress homebush and fortress brookvale..

The results would have been very similar..
