Ahhhh nothing is better than crushing all the Souffs fans hopes and dreams for the entire year in the very first round. But how i long for the days of Morley and co, especially after he'd taken out about 5 or 6 players by himself. Then came the incessant whinging from Souffs fans (which usually lasts the whole year .... here Wingy Wingy ).

Ahhh yes nothing beats being a Roosters fan in Round 1. This year their no-depth forward pack will be hammered into submission by the monster Easts pack from the start. Roosters by 40. I predict at least 5 bites.
Lol you realise this is one of many posts I'll be quoteing Monday night? You'll be so embarassed.
Is it just one week for Luke?
It is.

LOL at anyone pre round 1 gloating, the only near definate result i can see this weekend is probably the storm over the raiders.

Luke made a huge difference when he came on in the charity sheild (grubbiness aside) and the other guy that can make a break out of nearly nothing is GI who is also out. Might be a few options short but saying that SKD is a similar blow tot he roosters in terms of line breaks and tackle busts and will be alot riding on Moga if he gets picked tommorow.

If Sutton doesn't pull his finger out now he never will, has shown he has the ability to be an origin half but was far too long ago and just couldn't be assed doing it. Similar to Craigie although Sutton fits into standard size footy shorts.

Roosters need Kennedy to lead the pack, Anasta is a great lock but an average 5/8 but if i was going to pick a player to put behind a young inexperienced pack to give them a lift it would either be anasta, dallas johnson or luck. Not the most talented forwards but seem to lift other guys when they are around them.

Hell, we might even see coal train take a hit up in the middle third of the field after a kick return when the side really needs some metres instead of disappearing out to the centres

Nah mate we all know we're gonna cop it if results don't go our way, but it's Roosters v Souffs round 1 tradition to predict floggings. it stirs up some atmosphere and usually comes true

Both teams will be short of troops for this game.

I'm expecting Souffs to play Inglis. Luke is a massive loss for them. He gives them mongrel around the ruck. Too much uncertainty over their spine to back them.

Roosters will be without Kennedy, SKD and most likely BJ. In all honesty - their young pack should in theory, shit on their opposition. However, their age may also be their downfall. Easts are known to lose games they should easily win.

If Smith can keep them switched on, and Pearce controls the game, Roosters are morals.

Adam Reynolds and John Sutton (under Maguire) are better than Easts halves.

Greg Inglis and Nathan Merritt are better than every back at Easts.

Sam Burgess. Roy Asotasi. Michael Crocker. Dave Taylor. Issac Luke. Our forward pack at full strength (which it never was last year) will be feeding on them all game long.

Only Greg Inglis is under an injury cloud, Luke Burgess is injured and Issac Luke is suspended again.

So how is Greg Inglis being a better player than anyone at Easts going to help if he doesnt play? Is he going to be a better cheer leader?

I'm not tipping Easts to win, as I tend to keep my mouth shut about my teams chances rather than make myself look like a complete f**king knob end, which you managed to do brilliantly last year.

How many places were you wrong by and how many excuses do you need to use to justify your own idiocy and Souths deficiances?

Except Carney didn’t play in that match.

I have cast my eye over 50uff$ squad and cannot see one talented name amongst them.

I hear they pin their hopes on some boom pommy forwards, Samuel barges I think?

Say what you like about Souths, but the fact remains they actually contain some rather talented players. Sam Burgess is a brilliant 2nd rower and if he were Australian would be in Origin contention.

Inglis, if fit and playing could form a devastating partership with Dave Taylor, if only the Souths halves ever learnt to pass right to left instead of the other way round.

Asotasi is coming up for contract negotiations, so he's in for a big season and Merritt is seriously under rated.

But their real achilles heel at the moment has to be the absence of Issac Luke and their halves combination. They have inexperience in the number seven and a number 13 filling in at 6. It will be interesting to see how they handle the expectation of their supporters and how they manage if they are missing key players with so little experience guiding them round the park. But under estimate any team in the NRL at your peril.

Riley Brown is a God amongst mere mortals. COME BACK RILEY
iirc madam, karma visited God & the mere mortal Sydney Soft c**ks later that year... and coincidentally, he didn't play for 12 months after being injured by his own Archangel Pearce....

Broken arm ends Brown's season source

"Brown was involved in a tackle on Brisbane fullback Karmichael Hunt and Roosters halfback Mitchell Pearce came in late".:lol::lol:

Indeed sir, I am extremely jealous of your premiership prowess, highlighted by the fact you last won a comp over 15 years before I was born.

You must have been around when Moby Dick was a sardine.

Comparing ancient history to modern history. haw haw haw.

Using your "logic" how many did Souths win in this century?

fuggin joke that this is on a monday btw.

You only live 5 mins away.

Think of all the Souths fans who have to trek in from Homebush and then get home.

On the contrary, an extra 3 days for souffs fans to make arses of themselves and heighten the lols come the inevitable on Monday night.

Wing's demise was glorious and just.

Indeed. And Morris was in.

We haven't been a spoon contender in years. We've finished in the 8 or closer to the 8 than the spoon for 4 of the last 5 seasons. And that's with amateurish coaching and a halfback who was a huge hole in defense.

We now have a modern coach coming here on the back of success, a halfback who is a great tackler. Our path to the premiership will be launched on the back of an elite defense, with multiple match winners in the team to score enough points to win.

We're going to regularly win games 18-6 and 20-10. We will finish in the top 4. Approximately 10 positions higher than your mob.

Love how you disown Sandud now he's playing for another team.

Good to see Nemesis make a return. Please come visit the lol@souffs thread again. We miss your in-depth contributions.
