Really proud of the effort of our young side today. Missing an entire first grade pack I was expecting to get belted.

To be the better team for most of the match and only lose in GP was a huge effort.
Some promising signs for us with DeBellin getting better each game, Marketo starting to make an impact in 1st grade, our 2 young hookers are extremely promising, Vea looks the goods.

But we have Vidot.

Great game by both teams. You can tell Soward being back was a massive boost for them and his defense to put Hunt out was superb. Relieved to have the win because Dragons did very well with such a young inexperienced forward pack and they looked like they were gonna run away with it early on.

Unfortunately I still see souths missing the eight and falling at the back end of the season, when it matters to secure your spot in the 8. Where teams with seasoned finals coaches will flourish

Storm
Knights (not going to well but still have time to get their act together I think they will come 8)
Cowboys
Manly (the manly players still have the Dessie gameplay going)
Tigers (starting to scrape some wins together)

2 teams are the exception for me

Sharks playing very well and have a good mixture in their squad)
Broncos same as sharks

Souths will make the 8 next year with a full season under their belt

Warriors will be my dark horse for the 8 this year
