Campbelltown is sooooooooo much better than Leichardt as a stadium. Pity the Balmain half of the JV has the Wests half by the balls or more games would be played there.

Pretty good game from both teams, I think we were on the rough end of some try decisions. That'll be written off as bias though so I won't go into it here.

Thompson stepped on Thurston's feet all game which made our attack a bit blunt. Can't fault a whole lot though it was a game we should have won but gave it away.

ok seriously...what has happened to Benji's speed? He's had so many injuries in the past but always had top-end gas. In the last year he's been running in quicksand and caught by Ben Smith and James Tamou. wtf.

Very disappointed with that loss, but not unexpected as we just dont seem to play well against them, no matter how they're going.

Ive got to say i thought the refereeing was disgusting throughout this game. We got away with plenty that would normally get pulled up and there were some blatant ones that should have gone to us as well. It certainly wasnt one sided refereeing but it seemed to me that we had absolutely everything go our way for a lot of the first half, and then the refs just decided to square it all up in the second.

Ive lost count of the times ive heard the commentators say "gee, the Cowboys were probably hard done by then...", it makes me sick.

Anyway, well done Tigers.

Being run down by Ben Smith can be excused on the basis Marshall was recovering from a knee injury. He wasn't supposed to play against Parramatta but returned from injury prematurely. He was clearly affected by his knee on that occasion.

The Tamou one is worrying. Marshall's lack of speed and confidence has been evident all year. Apart from close to the tryline Benji is barely seen running the ball. Being moved to halfback and being the only playmaker has impaired his running game somewhat. But even when he gets in the gaps or is pursuing someone he looks slow. Against the Warriors he was slow when he made a break and then he barely managed to keep up with Hurrell in defence. When Benji first came into crowd he looked like a whippet and ran like one too. Now he's too bulky to have the same acceleration. It's a shame.

He is still pretty quick off the mark but he has definitely lost pace over 100m.
Apparently ever since he hurt his knee a few seasons his 100m speed has never recovered.
