Warren and Brandy just agreed that it would have been a drop out.

I think ill take their opinion over Skeep's any day of the week.

I never said I was, however I do have an excellent knowledge of the laws of the game, so it sticks out when they make a massive f**k-up like Cummins did.

No, you're a nit-picking wanker who expects 100% accuracy on every call from every official. For f**k's sake, get over it, and get over yourself. Officials make mistakes in every game in every sport. It is part and parcel of sport. If you can't handle it, might I suggest a different pastime?

8.5 Accidental Offside
8.5.1 If the referee considers that any interference caused by an offside player is accidental, play should be
restarted with a scrum except after the fifth play the ball when a handover will take place.

Thats from the official rules.....Now i'm sure Skeepe will bring this rule up:
8.1.2 A player cannot be offside in his/her own in-goal.

But the offside rule and the accidental offside rule are different.
You can't be offside in your own in goal but you still can be accidently offside.

Or so i believe. The NRL rule book is an absolute clusterf**k....As we saw in Origin 1.

Well Warren Smith just said you can't be offside but you can still be accidentally offside in your own in goal.

I was pretty sure it's still an infringement in this particular case.

I had never heard of it before. (not that it happens often)
As someone said earlier the refs should have explained such an obscure rule, rather than telling him to piss off.

God imagine being a Canberra supporter. Your team plays like shit every week AND you get associated with people like skeepe. One day someone in the nations capital is going to loose their shit.. Furner and skeepe will never be seen again.

You can't be offside, accidentally or otherwise, in your own in-goal. Comprehension failure, Mayor West.

Putting aside whether the call was correct or not, surely its not the officials responsibility to explain every obscure rule in the book to a 12+ year professional player??

Where is the comprehension failure mate?

Like i said i'm not sure but like i showed it says you can't be offside in your own in goal but does that cover accidental offsides? Can you show me where in the rules it says that cause if you can't find it either maybe it's another bit of evidence to show that the rule book isn't exactly clear.

I love it when you talk dirty.

I need one of skeepe's classic violent insults... hmmm...

Hey skeepe, go shove your head in a blender.

(Pretty sure I've seen him use that one, more than once.)

Check out the rule numbers, that should give you the answer. If that fails, go and look up the word "adjective" in an online dictionary.

Every obscure rule?
Have you ever seen that situation before? What was your take on it?
Crocker obviously thought it should have been play on, so a little clarification on the relevant obscure rule wouldn't go astray.
