The problem I have with Sandow smiling there is that it shows he is not puffing and working as hard as he can. It is fine to enjoy success, but wait until the play is over (and you actually do succeed). Before then, game on the line, you go so hard the pain is written all over your face, or you are concentrating intently on stepping/passing/finding support etc you have no time for emotions.

Burt was denied a shot on Everingham, the guy who regathered.

He would have never reached Evringham, certainly not before he passed. That's taking the obstruction rule to the extreme. I don't see how he would've affected the play at all.
