never in doubt boys!

Sandor Earl was impressive on debut considering he's probably spent 2 minutes with the guys
Tilse had his best game in years, Sam Williams had his best game since his debut against the sharkies and Reecey Robsinon was an absolute star

 poor dragons

 I'm sure we'll be right, we lose Canberra's GF every year

Hopeless :lol::lol:

Where the f**k was Steve Price when Bennett was coaching them for 3 years? Yum Cha at the Leagues club?

You know your club is doing something wrong when your assistant coach is much better (and has an NRL premiership to his name) than your head coach.

They did celebrate quite a bit at full time didn't they? Then again, considering the way Vidot left the club they were always going to fire up just that little bit more against whatever team he ended up with.

They deserved to celebrate, anytime you win a game in the last 2-3 minutes like that is always a great feeling for the team that wins.

Our boys are just getting coached by a bloke way out of his depth, who refuses to make the tough decisions and makes so many mistakes through the match with his plans and replacements.
Time to go coach Price....you can't cut it at this level.

ill tell you we didnt celebrate as much as the dragons u20's side after their win
they just about cleared the benches and gave the coach the gatoraide bath!

good on em though, guttsy win by the young dragons.

I would like to say a good hearty "LOL" at the few dragons fans bitching about the try just before half time. Edrick Lee has every right to come inside and continue his line of support. Besides the fact neither player was going to catch Reecey, the simple fact is the only reason they were impeded was because dopey Dan Vidot pushed Edrick Lee over and into the defender.

TBH could have made a case for a penalty to the raiders for Vidot taking a support playerv out without the ball should a try have not been scored.

I'm not going to suggest for a second it wasn't a try, nor that Vidot's not a moron for that push.

But to suggest Lee was doing anything other than getting in the way of the two players coming across is moronic. He knew he was no longer required as a support runner and deliberately ran into the path of defenders.

Had Vidot not been a dope and pushed him, there might have been a case for obstruction on Nightingale. The situation is ultimately Vidot's fault but there's no way Lee didn't attempt to run interference there.

It's his right as a support player to support the play, Robinson had run him out of room on the outside, so as per standard footballing practise he came inside to continue his support, absolutely no way you can justify calling that obstruction.

Just because there are chasing defenders doesnt mean Lee has to give up his line of support, he has the same rights to be there as chasing defenders. He didnt purposefully impeded anyone, he didnt alter his line other than to come back inside when Robbo ran him out of room
by the sheer fact you think he might have impeded Nightingale says that his support was in fact required, Nightingale might have still made a play at Robinson and Lee has every right to be there on the inside to collect a pass if he did.

As it turns out Robinson was too far quick, Lee came inside to provide support and dopey old Vidot who was well behind the ball player, pushed Lee, who did not have the ball into Nightingale, who was never going to get close enough to stop the try regardless

It was a clear cut try, absolutely no doubt in it what so ever. Which is why im laughing big time at the few (and there is only a handful) of saints fans bitching about it.
It was no more an obstruction than the last RR try when Chase Stanley made a poor read

The fact you're sticking to the idea that Lee was purely there to provide support tells me you have NFI.

He ran the line to obstruct the defending chasers, there's NO doubt about that.

The issue is completely seperate to the try - at no time do I doubt it was a try, at no time did anyone end up obstructed by Lee (despite his intent), and at no time was Robinson in danger of really being tackled. Doesn't mean Lee didn't run the line he did to get in the way of the opposition.

Umm where the f**k was Lee suppose to go? Was he suppose to run into the stands? Or stop supporting Robinson? He had every right to come in.

Lee ran in a straight line the entire time. Robinson running across him made it look like he cut inside, the reality is Lee was simply running a straight support and nothing else.

Yes he was meant to run along the sideline with the Fox cameraman just so poor Nightingale and Vidot could attempt to tackle him. Clutching at straws much Timmah.

But no he intentionally impeded - no he wasn't supporting the play. You sound like f**king Harrigan justifying the Inglis try in SOO1.

All the talk about the Robinson / Lee try is silly.

It was a fair try and if that was my team and the winger didn't do the same thing I would have been p*ssed at him.
It was smart by Lee.
