The refereeing in the NRL is disgracefully and alarmingly bad. Something needs to be done immediately, or they will destroy the season.

Sharks unlucky with the Jr. Sau "try", but the knights defense has been sensational in the second half considering being down to 2 on the interchange.

He bounced up in the tackle there, he should be allowed to reach out....if he hadn't bounced and completely stopped then I would agree. That was momentum, it should have been a try.

Momentum is movement forwards, not movement upwards. What is so hard to understand about that?

meh, the newcastle Sau try was the only incorrect one imo.

The 2 sharks tries in this half were rightfully disallowed.

Please mate, his arms were already in front of him.....what do you want him to do, chop his arms off? It's a natural movement when he lands like that to put your arms forward, where else will they go?
He was carrying the ball, it's not like he could put his arms by his side.

Not hard to understand at all.

Momentum picked his arms and torso up off the ground after initial contact - he had every right to put the ball down. Watch the replay in full speed and you'll see l.

The Sau try was a disgrace but Newcastle have thoroughly deserved this win. Their defence was impeccable & Cronulla had no answers.

I say that, but this should be a try to Pomeroy.

why is it that a player can ground the ball with any part of their body except their hands? wouldn't it make sense for the only way to score a try be by grounding the ball with your hands?

also this separation crap (I know this had nothing to do with it), shouldn't it be whether the player has control of the ball? they complicate this shit for fans like Cronulla's today, to hate the refs and the inevitably the game
