Whats more embarrassing than George Rose stepping you from 10m out?

George Rose stepping about 6 of your side on a 45m run to the line like he did against us in 2006
He's been picked for years on the back of that run.

And Manly win. Told ya.

If Canterbury scores like they should have on that Lyon f**k up, they win.

This is the sort of game proper rugby league fans love. You have to understand the game to appreciate a contest like this.

The intellectual lightweights say it's boring.

Easy rugby league IQ test:
Do you think this was a great game?

Yes -high footy IQ.
No- low footy IQ.

I had a little chuckle when I saw that Manly took a penalty shot when behind.

Looks like it worked out great.

Well i'm looking forward to the Des vs. Toovey era. What a great, tough game.

Even before George Rose did that sweet step, he was having a great game, making 10 yards everytime he ran with the ball.

Only had a quick look on TV but I reckon Goodwin was well offside for his try. Not that it made any difference to the final result in the end.
Geez I wish they'd get rid of Gould. Tonight he was crapping on about how the corner posts looked wobbly.
Good game and I was happy for either side to lose. Manly just have more class and options in attack. No wonder Des was trying to get DCE or Foran to come across.

What the f**k was the last Manly play, holding up the turn around and winding up the clock. I would have booted that merkin right in the head if I was that Buldogs player.

And you're the kind of idiot who'd prefer Toyota cup type scorelines like 40-34.

Lots of tries don't necessarily indicate a good game.

There is more to a good game of rugby league than tries, and it was on show tonight.

My comment had nothing to do with the game.

Just a statement of fact

Wanker!

Agree with you. Canterbury have little in attack.

Bunniesman, you are a genius.
Greatest football brain since Wayne Bennett.
Can you remeber all of us mere mortals when you are coaching souths to their 30th premiership.

Bloody good arm wrestle. Love the way the forwards play now for us, Frankie and Sam have a nice little passing game. Hopefully Mitch Brown or Lafai get a run now Turner's stuffed his knee.

Mitch Brown is gone for the season with a ruptured ACL.

The reason we lost was the lack of straight running and go forward from our big boys (only 2 forwards made more than 100m and they were Tolman with 125m and Graham with 117m) as well as our horrible attacking options.

Close to the line attacking we have nothing. We lack direction, we lack polish, we lack execution and we just are poor in general in attack.

Manly, well done on a deserved win. I think both teams deserved the win. The defence from both sides was tremendous.

Once we sort out what needs to be fixed in the next few weeks we should be a force. I just hope all the boys rally together and fix what needs to be fixed.

Referee was telling him not to come and talk to them every second and to only come to them once in a while.

Agreed. We need a leader in the halves. Hodkinson can be that but he needs to come back and show it soon. Reynolds has been great at 5/8th and was great again tonight but still lacking options.
