i thought the game was fairly poor. Having Foran and Hodkinson in the sides would have helped. Bulldogs scored two tries, one from a break to Barba, the other was a kick which sat up for Bryson with not long left. Inside the 20 they were boring, slow and woeful. Manly weren't much better but the Stewart brothers looked dangerous and Rose what a game.

Don't know what the fuss is about Reynolds. Against us 8 or 10 times he did his stupid slow side steps that weren't done in the vicinity of any opposition players so they had zero effect. Seems like a show pony who doesn't know what to do with the ball when he gets it.

There is a reason Hasler was chasing Foran hard.

Each to their own but f*ck me if you don't love a game of footy like that you're hard to please.

Can't all be touch footy.

F*ck I love a beltathon.

Second half was great, first half was a bit of a grind. There were plenty of breaks that were stopped by desperate defence. I didn't think it was one of DCE's best games though, I wish he'd dump the ball out to G Stewart a bit quicker sometimes because he seemed to kill a few overlaps.

They've got terrible halves. Even Hodkinson is slow as a wet week and won't trouble the line, and Keating is woeful.

And I agree with you about the jersey's. I thought Easts was terrible as well.

Nearly 150m by Rose. A massive effort for a bloke who has spent the first 7 weeks in NSW Cup. Having Gifty back made a big difference with a bit more structure on the right. Some good shots by Matai and Gifty were also good to watch.

Jason King and Brent Kite (who seems to have forgotten how to run it straight) need to take note, that was the most metres a Manly prop has run for all season. And the second highest total a forward has run for behind T-rex in the first round.

What is going on with Big Sam?

He used to have a great running game with an offload. Now it looks like he wants to be a ball playing prop with minimal running

I didn't get to watch the game last night.

Noticed in the Youtube clip Daniel Harrison. Was arguably the best player in the inaugural Toyota cup. How has he been travelling? Plenty of potential but was a bit unlucky with injuries at The Dogs

Brett Stewart you magnificent legend. lol "be manly don't be a dog". What a team. Money can't buy everything, it certainly can't buy that culture and team spirit.

Keep counting those dollars des, it'll get you through the many painful times ahead. lol.

What the f**k was the last Manly play, holding up the turn around and winding up the clock. I would have booted that merkin right in the head if I was that Buldogs player.

Nah because he's gonna hand the ball over and show him the tryline with a few seconds left....you dopey prick.

Reasonably solid, few penalties and handling errors here and there.

Very good defender.
