No, they wouldn't.

Warriors made more metres total, but they also had much more posession. If you look past the total metres you'll see Brisbane made more metres per hitup (8.6m vs 7.5m).

The rest of the stats are even or come down to NZ having the weight of posession.
Warriors - 2 tries to 1. dominated position. made less tackles. missed fewer tackles. made fewer errors. offloaded more. made more tackle breaks.

Manloney missed three kicks and that was the difference.

Irrelevant though as we lost, thats footy

this "better side didn't win" jargon is moronic

anyone remember the Manly vs Broncos game?

yeah the better side lost because Parker couldn't kick to save his life that night and they won with a length of the field effort

Brisbane won the forwards battle - what decides most games, and made one more error.

As I said, the rest of the stats come down to weight of posesssion.

Explain to me how Brisbane were the better team exactly.

Weight of possession...Gaining more sets and tackling less is usually the goal of most teams, hence the stats reflect this when a team gets on top. Brisbane won the forward battle? very debatable. You are being very biased in your reasoning when you consider the result was down to goal kicking.

Moot point regardless. Brisbane got the 2 pts.

Warriors ability to earn repeat sets through goal line drop outs was certainly an area they did much better.
Which is why they had more possession, made more metres and less tackles and all that.

I don't really feel either team was overly dominant in general play.

Again, the Broncos forwards made more metres per hit up, and Brisbane made more metres per run in general play. Brisbane made more metres from their kicks. The only stats that favour NZ are missed tackles and tackle breaks, and this is only due to more possession. The rest of the stats are equal or close enough to.

Your first post was that the stats suggested NZ were the better side. Clearly that is not the case.

Warriors weren't the better team last night. If they were, they would have won.
