2 to 3 weeks is the intial prognosis from the doctor its sumthing to with the cartlidge

It didn't look good. Most knees get hurt with contact on the ground. He collided with Coote mid air and fell and grabbed it straight away. The fall wouldn't of helped it.

Reading on social media sites tonight that Hayne's done his ACL and out for the season.. just rumours at this stage though

Social media!!!

Sitting in the western stand it certainly didn't look like season ending. I know the most innocuous knocks can end up season ending but I didn't get that impression.

For the sake of the Eels fans hopefully the 2-3 weeks being talked about is the more realistic assessment.

It troubles me that the WCC is consistently considered a ''trial''
We've given it it's own discussion thread in this section, but for a central point when it comes to teamlists, the website just puts them all into one. No harm IMO.

Where is Vodafone?
Laughs! Good call. I loath that sponsor handle prefix. I don't mind (unlike many of their fans) that they are now officially called NZ instead of Auckland. In comparison, you don't hear anyone complaining about the Cowboys representing NQLD when they only play in Townsville. Same diff.

34-16 Storm with Fonua & Beale the try scorers for their respective sides.

Just an update on attendance - it's actually 11 752.

Hoffman injured for Melbourne.

Being taken off the field by a stretcher.

Hope it's not too serious.

FULL TIME

Melbourne Storm 34 (Slater 2, Cronk 2, Widdop, Fonua Tries; Smith 5/6 Goals) defeated Brisbane Broncos 30 (Glenn, Te'o, Beale, Norman, Hoffman, Gagai Tries; Wallace 3/6 Goals)

Brisbane finished with 3 tries in 10 minutes after Slater & Smith had come from the field.

Need confirmation on the goal kickers but the try scorers list is accurate.

Yeah I thought Hurrell would need half a season with the Vulcans, but by all reports, he is ready for first grade round 1.

It's all good. No injuries whatsoever. Don't be surprised if Hurrell is picked over Inu in Round 1. Hurrell carved it up and played really good. Both Hurrell and Inu scored at least 2 tries each.

In this game?
Warriors 68 (Ivan Penehe 2, Ben Matulino 2, Carlos Tuimavave, Pita Godinet, Ukuma Ta'ai, Krisnan Inu, Jerome Ropati, Lewis Brown, Glen Fisiiahi, 1 unnamed tryscorer tries; Kevin Locke & Krisnan Inu goals [10 total]) lead Sunshine Coast 10 (Danny Richards, 1 unnamed tryscorer tries; Unnamed player 1 goal)
