ffs...Sterlo and Johns making excuses about how much more important it is to the English, and at the same time refusing to entertain the notion of playing it in Aus, or at a sensible time.

You treat the game with some respect, put up some worthwhile prizemoney, the players will get up 2 weeks after the Grand Final just fine.

Doesn't surprise me about Johns but Sterlo should know better, ateotd SL teams can only play what's in front of them, if the NRL club is unprofessional enough not to prepare properly that's a reflection on them and the NRL not SL and it's club.

Thr RFL have been trying to get the NRL to play the game in Aus for years but they won't do it so it's back to the UK to stage it.

Manly should be happy with their effort, for Leeds the interchange prop Darryl Griffin was really strong and took the ball forward and Ryan Bailey was strong in the first half but i can't remember seeing him in the second half, maybe injured ?

Rob Burrow should have been man of the match, Brent Webb was appalling in the second half and Danny McGuire still can't pass.

As said earlier, Leeds should have played more to Kallum Watkins, he only touched the ball a few times for one try, one try assist and a break down the right - Matai was no match for him.

I thought Manly were really underdone, but still should have won.
Brett Stewart blew a dead set try which got Leeds out to a 12 blot lead.
Klein absolute refusal to bin Leeds players after giving 2 warnings was baffling.
In the first warning he said settle them down or someone will be in the bin and then said the exact same thing in the 2 penalties later.
Manly had more than enough chances to make up for it but were really rusty and Leeds defence really stood up.

Manly couldnt get 14k to a semi final
2 weeks after a GF is ridiculous.....now is the perfect time, people have been waiting for footy, theyre hanging for it....ut its too hot here, just after a GF would be such a massive anti climax....you finally earn something youve been working a year for...then you reckon they can get up for someing else in two weeks???
Yeh right

Not to make excuses, but its the middle of the English season over there

Whereas Manly is still in pre season trials

Imagine if that was the opposite case for the English club that came to Australia in sometime like July?!?!?!?
