Not only that, the rules specifically state that a penalty should not be awarded if the ball carrier is the one initiating contact with an offside player attempting to return to an onside position.

That said, Badger was happy to leave it at a penalty, it was Ashley Klown who called for the bin.


Hang on, Houston deliberately ran through the middle of the ruck and impacted the play from an offside position. If he doesnt run through the middle of the ruck and impact Ennis, they likely go right and score an easy try.

I thought he was off to the side and Ennis initiated contact.
