Ashley Klein will be getting a spell methinks. Almost ruined a fantastic game. Fancy not knowing that you're onside if the team with the ball has advanced 10 metres? Utterly shambolic.

Post-game discussion from the 12-10 Broncos win centred on a period of play around the 32-minute mark when referee Ashley Klein believed Bronco Corey Parker came from an offside position to make a try-saving tackle.
According to the Broncos, it was the fifth tackle at the time and when the penalty try was ruled out, North Queensland erroneously got the ball back on the third.
"You're drawing a long bow if you want to give a penalty try for that," said Griffin.
"He (Klein) took the tackle count back to play three. It was fifth play. We had to do (defend) three more plays after that.

I don't think it should have been a penalty try, a penalty though he was offside & didn't make it back. Even though stopping the play got all the donkeys on side & killed the play. The extra tackles didn't make up for that.
Klown stopped the play a couple of times that gave the donkeys a break while under pressure.

We were causing over laps on the edges but couldn't make it work. A lack of a 2nd kicker, Bowen, really hurt us.

And then ruling third tackle when play resumes when it was the fifth.

Both sides had plenty of overlap chances out wide, and both sides didn't make it work. With all the bombed tries and missed chance each side could have probably score 3 more tries each. I have said before though, I put that down to the outstanding defense from both sides, when you put that much pressure on attacks with that much defense teams miss chances as they have been forced to rush their attack all night.

The wet track wouldn't have been easy to play an expansive game on, you could see it was a very 'safe game' for the majority of it with a lot of one and two out stuff but none the less it was very entertaining and absorbing. Both teams play like that every week and they would be top 8 no worries.

Disappointed Taumalolo wasnt out there, big man with genuine speed and footwork in those conditions would have been a massive handful, the coaches selection policy is f**king baffling to put it kindly.
