Have you seen a game since Round 1? He has been awful and non existent in defence. The only time he has looked first grade quality was against opposition who allowed us to put on 30 odd points.

In his games since he is making about 50% of his tackles. Always good for a few errors and being nowhere to be found when the opposition have a long sweeping backline movement. Brad Tighe looks like a superstar compared to him.

Well any slim chance the Panthers had was ruined when our coach decided to drop Blake Austin and more then likely bring back in Luke Walsh. Apparently 5 years of football just isn't enough of an opportunity for him to prove himself, and we're going to waste another season sticking with him. Meanwhile Blake Austin only gets one game to prove himself, and that game is one where we had f*ck all possession thanks to other ridiculous team selections.

Well atleast with Walsh in first grade, the Wolves and Under 20's sides today should be good viewing. Maybe Cleary is just trying to keep all the shit players together in one place (Walsh, Tighe, Naiqama, Simmons, Ciraldo and Newton) so that our lower grade teams can win their comps.

I reckon that's a harsh call of Tighe and Simmons, they've been solid this year. The rest of the Panthers backline... well that's a different story.

P.s. What's with Whare at fullback? Is it poor selection choice by Cleary or is Molyn (However you spell his name) injured?

Compared to Wes, Ciraldo and Walsh they have been solid. But they're fringe first graders at best, and any other club would only call them up if they were hit hard by injuries. At our club they are walk up starts despite having a bunch of promising young players with all the potential in the world.

Blake Austin is killing it today. He's 10 times the player that Luke Walsh is, even when playing out of position at halfback. Yet he is dropped after a single loss that had nothing to do with out halves. Meanwhile the blokes responsible (Whare at fullback, Wes at centre) keep their positions. :sarcasm:

Lewis Brown usually runs out wide anyway even when playing in the forwards so he will basically be playing the same role in the centres
