Congrats Storm, again too good for us.

Our boys defended well in the first half, but that Merritt error killed us.

We did well to fight back to win the second half, but you can't give your side a 12 point start.

In any case, we put in a good effort against the best team in the comp, in from of a great crowd too.

Yet you don't pick on him describing the other team as the lols? You'll continue to cop cheats taunts for the next 20 years (or longer). It's the way the cookie crumbles. Teaspoon of cement time.

It's called success breeding contempt which is why the cheat taunts mean zilch to me anymore... unless it comes from Bullfilth fans in which case it's pot calling the kettle black.

Good game, good crowd, Melbourne showing us why they're reigning premiers, cant make those mistakes against melbourne. Just too good tonight and as a Souths fan can't complain about Billy's tackle, I'd expect Inglis to do the same thing.

Tough few weeks coming up but from tonight looks as if we will be competitive

5-1 is still a great start!

Just watching the highlights on my laptop given I watched the live feed on my smart phone... Proctor's fend on Ingliss! My god! Please tell me one of the NRL media stooges got a photo of that!

Still can't get over the Burrow and Souffs fans generally booing every decision the refs made. Case in point; Ingliss forcing Slater's nothing kick dead in the lead up to Proctor's try. Learn the rules, people!

Should have heard them after Mahes try.

Damn it was glorious.

I really don't get what's wrong with a team being vocally involved in the ebb and flow of a game

Had to laugh. In the first half smith threw a dummy (which would have been forward if he passed it) and you could here the booing start then stop all of a sudden.

There's a world of difference between being vocally involved in the ebb and flow of the game and not knowing the rules.

Ingliss blatantly kicked the ball dead-in-goal and the Burrow start booing. What else did they expect? Force it dead and it's a drop out. Reminds me of that game in 2011 when Taylor grounded the ball short of the line and put in an Oscar-worthy performance to sell the try and when the try was rightfully disallowed the Souffs fans felt hard done by.

If a call goes against my team and I have the savvy of knowing the laws of the game then I don't boo and carry on like a pork chop. I nod my head and acknowledge the right decision was made.

Ignorance is not necessarily bliss.

The blurry big screen it looked like his foot touched the touch in goal line....couldnt have been much in it

I must admit, even I had a shred of doubt about Fonua's try. Reminds me of Hayne's ankle brushing a blade of grass on the sideline at Etihad in 2009.

Great game by both sides.
Scary thing is, I don't think the Storm had their best game in attack, which brought Souths into the game a bit. (Also the 2 to 1 penalty count.)
I'll give credit where it's due, and say that Souths played good semi final footy tonight !
But I agree re earlier comments on the Souths fans booing. Talk about overdoing it !
