It's basically a no-risk statement to say that Griffin won't be coach next year. He shouldn't be sacked now because Kearney needs to go with him, but surely the ax will swing not long after Mad Monday.

Are Parra fans seriously excited by Norman next year. His jogging kick returns were terrible

They have arguably the worst spine in the comp imo. If they fix that they'll be right up there again with that pack

Yeah so if they fix the half, five eighth, fullback & hooker they'll be sweet. Easy. Someone let Griffin know.

What he needs to do first is sack that peanut Thaiday as captain.

It happens so often but this time I'm not mad, it's like putting down a mangy dog.

Brisbane have now won just 11 of their last 33 games. That is pretty awful, never thought they'd even be this poor given how good they were for so long.

They dont seem to have had balance in their side for some time, first it shifted toward too back heavy when they let Petero go and had Lockyer/Hunt/Folau/Hodges all together, since then it's gone back the other way having neglected the backs and seemingly locked up a heap of backrowers/average forwards.

Maybe this will end up a good year for them from the perspective that a few young players get a bit of gametime, but they have some problems, and that purchase of Prince was a real desperation one. I'd imagine they'll be fine eventually, too well run a club to not be, but it also doesnt look like something they're going to turn around in twelve months either, could be a couple of years of mediocrity before they're back and challenging.

I was originally in favour of the signing of Prince because I thought he'd bring a bit of experience to the club.

But in hindsight, what he's done is short circuited the development of younger players, and probably contributed to Norman going to Parramatta.

Hunt has been unable to get game time in the halves; because of that two gun No. 9's Baptiste and Glanville haven't cracked first grade; and Norman thinking he was going to spend the next four-five years at fullback, when to Parramatta in search of a No. 6 jersey.

All because Prince came to the club. Which would have been OK if he performed well. He's been solid, but definitely hasn't delivered in terms of leading the team.

Griffin didn't even have to play Prince at any stage. He claimed he had no interest in signing Prince until someone nagged and convinced him to bring him over. He could have easily kept Prince as a depth player.

Yep. The Tits clearly outpointed you in terms of halves signings. Tossing the closest they had to a club legend to form a very talented young halves pairing was a gamble that has paid off handsomely for them. If they can keep their current squad pretty much together for the next couple of years, they'll be genuine challengers.

The Titans pack is getting kind of old, still high quality but they could easily all decline around the same time, which would set them back

Storm proved to a lot of people last night that they are set for a good run to the finals and even with a possible loss or two without the big three in the coming months they will be ready to hit September big time.

The Broncos had no direction in attack and Prince is past it IMO...yes Storm defended strongly but the Broncos looked predictable and flat and this was the difference.
