i've said it from the start of the season hoffman should be fb! he's a gun player, the more he gets the ball the better. the broncs played a lot better with him at fb.
.

I disagree. He had a very poor year at FB last year. He has really come into form since being on the wing. Norman offers the second man run-a-round play which Hoffman never could

Our season ended by a field goal. That pretty much tells the entire story.

Enjoy Norman, Parra. Your fortunes won't change with recruitment like that.

TBH I think the field goal halted the Sharks momentum, they had the ascendency, were making yards at will and thought they had won once they kicked it.
Should have finished off the set before going for fg.

turned out to be a good game. except for mills the sharks played really good, especially with graham going off.

broncs need a change in attack asap. i don't see norman being mooved though, broncs were playing some great footy early last year with hoffman at fb.

He's been great on the wing, was a very stupid idea to move him to centre..should've been Hoffman + Kahu, Oates + Maranta (or Oates + Anyone except Maranta).

if i remember broncs were going great at the start of the season then got some injuries.

& how has that run around been working? not too good it seems.
one thing is for sure they need to try something different. at least before it's too late, norman is gone next year anyway.

Absolutely, should've won by 18 instead of 1.

Anyway, we got the job done which I wasn't expecting but was hopeful.

I think that performance by Carney will be salt in the wound if NSW lose this series. But, good effort by Broncos considering who they had missing. Dodds was making some solid tackles last night, driving in from the side.... enjoyable to watch.

Does Norman ever step of his right side? He's a pretty predictable ball runner, kind of like a smaller Sutton without the fend.

Carney was missing for the entire first half against a park football side. He only started coming into his own when the kids lost their concentration.

In defence he is still a speedhump who refuses to put his body on the line.

Yeah he is sure knocking the selection door down.

He has the quality in him, but until he starts playing direct and putting his body on the line, he is a shadow of his former self.

Yeah because Thurston, Maloney & Lockyer etc were such great defenders. If you pick halves based on their defense you get tards like Pearce and Wallace. Should we start picking props based on their kicking and ball playing abilities too?

All those halves put in the effort. Carney doesn't.

He has been quiet no doubt. However he has been taking the line on recently & getting the result. Hard to knock that.

In the first half last night his kicking was crap but it was always a defensive kick as his forwards didnt give him field position. As soon as they stepped up a gear, do did he.

Same will apply for Pearce on Wednesday, forwards need to win the ruck or we are screwed.
