Oh, and Maranta is up there with the worst players to play NRL ever.

Not sure how the club got to this point fielding a player like Maranta, following in the footsteps of Hancock, Sailor, Carne, Tiquri. It's just plain embarrassing to watch him return the ball from a kick and get owned every time.

He has been quiet no doubt. However he has been taking the line on recently & getting the result. Hard to knock that.

In the first half last night his kicking was crap but it was always a defensive kick as his forwards didnt give him field position. As soon as they stepped up a gear, do did he.

Same will apply for Pearce on Wednesday, forwards need to win the ruck or we are screwed.

Carney is at his best when he plays straight. He is such a powerful runner that he makes line breaks at will.
That's how he played for Canberra and for the Roosters (in patches). Now it seems like he likes to go cross field hoping to pick out a lazy defender. Most teams have figured that out and just keep the defensive line.

His defence problems are just through a lack of effort as he isnt exactly a small guy.

I hope to see Carney straighten his game because when he does it is beautiful rugby league.
