I've picked the Knights here. The Panthers are due for a loss and Newcastle seem like the team to ambush them.

We've won convincingly at Penrith the last few times I can remember?

Almost a must win for both clubs.

This is an important game for both teams. Not must win as both teams are sitting inside the top 8 with a good for and against at the moment. But looking at the ladder and draw... one team could go up to 4th with a bit of luck, the other could drop to 10th with some bad luck.

For the winner to go to 4th, they need:
Manly to lose to the Titans (unlikely)
Sharks to lose to the Roosters (probable)

So with luck, the winner is in 4th. Most likely it will be 5th though.

Meanwhile the loser automatically drops below the Bulldogs to 8th spot as they have the bye. With the Raiders playing the Eels and a good chance at a win, being able to jump them and drop them down to 9th. Then if the Titans did manage to beat the Sea Eagles, not only would that push the winner of this game to 4th, it would drop the loser another position.

Knights have won 3 of their last 10 matches. The Panthers 7 out of 10.

So even on the ladder but that separates them a tad.

This will be an interesting game. Hard to pick a winner.
Could have big top 8 ramifications.

We're playing away so I'm not really confident, however, I wasn't when we played the Dogs and despite the scrappy game, we got the result so I do have a bit.

Backing us by 6.

We struggle against the Knights traditionally so this game will be telling as to how much we've improved. Further injuries don't help our cause but hopefully we'll have another strong defensive game and grind out a win.

As long as it's an improvement on the match earlier in the year it's a bonus

Panthers have lost Robinson (broken neck) and Plum (eye socket) I wanted to beat them as they were but no go. I hope the 2 injured lads recover quickly.

The Riff to beat Drugcastle by 12 or under.

Hopefully our momentum doesn't stop ubruptly like last time.

If Plum is out then it's going to make things very difficult considering Robinson is out.

2nd row looking thin at the moment. Hmmm....

Panthers defense looks strong at the moment, so hoping for;

Panthers - 14
Knights - 10

The Panthers really have had an awful run of injuries this year. It'll be interesting to see who they name this afternoon.
