Roosters too good. They'll be too good for most sides this year
Hoping Cordner and SBW get a fortnight each.

Seriously f**k the haters you guys had the rub of the green and you couldnt get it done were too good.

And no way should sonny bill and cordner get suspended when others have done far worse and gotten away it.

People will look at the penalty count and say Knights had the rub of the green but it's not the case at all. Some howlers against Newcastle and the second half consisted off the Roosters basically giving away thug penalties to save tries without any fear of a sin binning due to useless f**king refs.

Agreed, terribly disciplined side, I don't know how someone wasn't binned. Might as well give away penalties for 10 straight minutes if there's not going to be any consequences.

But it was dumb errors that killed us and the Roosters were good enough to make us pay for it. I'm not too worried about it because we're not at their level yet anyway. Look forward to next week.

Good effort by the boys with Snowden out and Mason gone most of the game we were always going to struggle in the middle. Penalty count favoured us but geez there were some ordinary calls but oh well the effort was there just not the execution.

Didn't think the Roosters were a 16 point better team but the Knights have nobody to blame but themselves. After 20 minutes we were easily the better side and had 0 points to show for it. Then our two most consistent players Mullen and McManus give Roosters their 12 points. Game over when we took the 2 at 18 - 10, basically told the Roosters "We give up".

What a strange decision the 2 was.
You'd only scored one try all game that was constructed and executed. The other was a near 100 effort from Darius off a bomb

on what planet did they think taking the 2 and narrowing the gap to 6 was the best option? Score the try first then start worrying about the 2 points to tie the ball game up. Your right in saying the game was over at that point. Very negative unconfident football

Good, tough, gritty win by us..

It's nice to be able to get those away wins..Especially against hard sides like Newy..

Thought Jake Friend was outstanding again today..

Knights made a good run at us late, but it was pleasing to see us put a gap on them at the end..

You could debate the merits of taking the 2 forever but we lost by 16. I don't think it lost us the game. We were within a converted try but weren't good enough.

Forward passes, dropping the ball straight away after they've dropped it and given us a chance, dumb offside penalties. That's what cost us the game.

It was a complete waste of a rare (Roosters being the best defensive team) opportunity inside the opponent's 20. What if we had managed to score another try and then missed the conversion? Easy to bitch about it in hindsight but said at the time that it was a horrible decision and knew it would come back to bite us.

It's no coincidence our last points were those 2. It was a statement that we had given up.

Down by 8 with a full set on the opposition line who had already defended a few sets and we take the 2 to... be down by 6 instead and ultimately lose by 16. What if we had scored a try and missed the conversion? It was stupid no matter what way you spin it, and the worrying thing is I am pretty sure the call came from Wayne.

Exactly, so much logic lacking from that decision.
I think they lose anyways, but keeping the pressure on, maybe they get a try, 16-18 is game on.

Good quality game except for all the penalties.

Pearce didn't do shit to contribute to the Roosters win. It's truly amazing how high the roosters are on the ladder as their halves are so ordinary. It's like they try their hardest to not create repeat sets. They just destroy teams around the ruck and from offloads.

Pretty sure we got more repeat sets than the knoughts

Think Saints are second or thereabouts on the repeat sets ladder.

I really don't think the scoreline reflected the game. It was a tough game where the Rooster's defense was just to darn good. Hoping next week we can get a solid win and work towards sealing our spot in the finals. I am happy with our performance. The 2 was a bit odd, but understandable. We couldn't break the defense and could have wasted 1/2 minutes trying to score only to still be behind by 2.
