The Roosters signed up SBW, Jennings, Maloney, LOD and Sam Moa to add to a host of other good players already at the club. You were specials to make the 8. I wish that the Tigers were as active in the marketplace as the Roosters every year but we don't have the sense or the money to compete for quality players. But our future isn't all gloomy, we have dominated the junior competitions in recent years and will soon have a lot of good debutants to show for it (I hope).
And I would love for the Tigers to be successful.

I've had a soft spot for Balmain since I was a kid.

But having a whinge about the Roosters salary cap is just petty and unfounded.

Moa and LoD cost very little. It was good recruitment more than anything.

Our big recruits were SBW, Jennings, Maloney and most of all Robinson. But that doesn't mean we're over the cap.

Every time LOD comes up against his old club it's a spiteful encounter. I don't know whether it's a case of the Tigers' players geeing him up or LOD harbouring some resentment against the club for cutting him in 2003. It may also have something to do with that infamous Bronson Harrison tackle.
