I'd like to see Souths and the Roosters enter into a gentlemen's agreement where they don't play SBW and we don't play GI. No use risking the key player for each side in what is essentially a nothing match (d*** measuring and bragging rights aside).

All I want from this game is for no injuries. I don't care for the minor premiership - I just want Souths to win the damn comp.

Same here. Wish we were at full strength and GI 100% fit. Would like to get a proper handle on just where we are ability-wise against you as we didn't get a true picture in round 1. The emotion is going to be amazing on Friday night. Hopefully a GF preview.

Souffs by 10 because they have a halfback.

The real winners of this game though will be Melbourne and Manly. I predict that the Roosters and Rabbletohs packs will belt seven shades of s*** out of each other with mass casualties, suspensions and a torrential downpour of teeth.

I believe only one team will be going on the field with actual teeth.

It's only the biggest regular season game in history.

Should be a crowd of 50,000 plus.

Hopefully the weather is good and we can win in a narrow classic without any injuries

It deserves >50k ,however will be lucky to break 40 k.
souths could have 30k supporters , 5 k from other NRL fans and lucky to get 5k of Roosters (they are hard to attract to their home ground when they get free tickets, they do not like to pay full price for a ticket).

Will Inglis play?

Well, Souths coaching staff advised him to sit out the game against the Tigers last week and he took the field on one leg anyway.

Given that he wanted to play that game against the team running third last, I would say that unless he physically cannot walk he will be a certainty for this match.

I'm realllllllly looking forward to this game (Not so much the match thread). Two foundation clubs. Two oldest clubs in rugby league history. Both in the top 3 for most successful premiership wise. Inner city rivals. Facing off for the Minor Premiership. Doesn't get better than this. May the best team win :)

So in other words Roosters won twice.

Round 25, 1st Sep 2007
Grand Final, 14th Sep 1935

They are the only times these two teams have ever met since Rabbitohs beat Roosters on 3rd Sep 1932.

Checchin & Klein together with Clarke in the vidiot's box doesn't inspire confidence in this Roosters fan....

I'm a Chooks fan, but if they play like they have the past month they'll get a belting

It's gonna be Pants Down Friday that's for sure. We've all been waiting for this game since rd 1. RL lovers are blessed to have this game as the decider for the MP. Will be a belter. Finals have come one week early for both Souths and Easts.

As a Chooks supporter I reckon this one will determine whether we have what it takes to seriously challenge.

In Easts We Trust
