 fmd

I wake up in a cold sweat at the thought of playing them.

.

Good result all round. Six day turnaround, Saturday night makes access easier from the beaches, though it would have been nice to finish above Melbourne for once.

Upset?

Half a Manly side, trying to not get injured.

Yep, half a manly side. I mean its not like DCE, Lyon, Kite, Foran, Matai, Ballin, etc were out there.

You can say they mailed it in because the finals were next week - which they clearly did - but they didn't really rest anyone of note.

Umm, Watmong and Snake are pretty important to the side.

Meh, bring on next week. Looks like I don't have to chuck a sickie to watch it!

And to think, if we won those games against the Tigers, we would be in the 8.

I think it would have to be two games as the Knights still have to play.

But I think this logic is a fools paradise because if you point out that we should have won an X amount of games, you have to give every other side the same privilege...which you end up having the Staus Quo.

Woohoo a win at Brookvale! I suppose it's sad they beat the top two clubs of the modern era in Manly and Melbourne but missed the 8, but overall 11 wins is a good effort for the squad we had and a platform to build on.

Manly clearly with their minds on next week and our guys wanted it more. I'm pretty keen on cheering against Manly usually but I'm going for them against $Bill, Shitchell and Co. 'Go Manly' haha.

Penrith wanted it more obviously. Penrith completed better and got themselves as many opportunities as Manly despite getting flogged up front for most of the game. Surprisingly they took their opportunities better than Manly. Walsh was overall average but scored a try, threw a lovely cut out (didn't realise he had it in him) for Mansour's try and was fantastic in the Whare try. So he made the big plays, plus he found a lot of space kicking out of trouble.

Great end to the season for Penrith. We could have made the finals but I'm stoked with our result regardless. Good luck to Manly next week, I think you'll touch the Roosters up.
