Well played Souffs.

Now will 9 live up to its promise of going straight to the next game? Or is it 20 mins away?

George is a good young player but saying hes better than Sam is delusion.

Sam is a complete player, 184m and 33 tackles tonight for SB.

Final square up complete. Penalty count now 8-6 and looking respectable on the KPI sheets

It's a crock isn't it?

I thought Souths earned most of their penalties, they were just too strong and Brisbane had to give them away but you get instances where a side is given 6 penalties on the trot and establish a healthy lead. With that healthy lead, they then do everything to coast and protect their lead.

With the ball Sam hasn't been quite at his best today but in defense he has done things no other forward does. The territory he covers is second to none.

Toughed out the win, and happy to have stopped them scoring in the second half.

Broncos did well and put it on us in the first half.

Look forward to getting a few home games.

This year we've already won in Auckland, Brookvale and Brisbane. Tremendous effort. Getting some home games now will be fantastic.

Already walking home. Usually stick around for a beer at the stadium bar but they can f**k off after wrenching $40 out of me for 2 watered down beers and ten minutes of quality football.

Brisbane seriously struggle to put any attack together.

You just watched all the Cowboys games so far this year?

The entire broncos backline needs to be put down IMO. So much talent but just complete laziness from 1-5 (although the young bloke in 20 has been ok).

Wallace and Prince aren't exactly great halves but they are made to look even worse by the outside men constantly over running every backline movement they try to lay on.

The problem with a player like Prince is that he's such a liability in defence that it goes against the conservative style of play the Broncos try and play. The forwards are constantly trying to protect him and it opens them up in the middle.

Backs aren't flash mind you, but to be expected minus Hodges, Yow Yeh & Copley. Recruitment was non-existant last year and meant that players like Norman and Hoffman have to be played out of position while the likes of Maranta & Kahu are rushed into the side. Reed is 'ok' but he's just there to do a job really.

The problem tonight was the forwards. I'd wager over half the club's salary cap is tied up in Thaiday, Hannant, Glenn, Gillett, Parker, McCullough etc. and they were completely out-played.

Why are they talking up moving Inglis to fullback like its some sort of master stroke by McQuire? He played there dozens of times for the storm and it was ALWAYS his preferred position.

If anything they should be quesitoning why Madge persisted with idiots like Wesser, Farrell and Talanoa at fullback when Inglis was in the squad

For your Information it was John Lang who had Wesser playing fullback. Maguire picked Farrell at fullback for two games then picked Inglis from then on. Goose
