There was some great ball movement in there. The PNG try was great, as were a few missed attempts.

This is why the World Cup will always be a Mickey Mouse tournament. PNG have prepared for four years only to have a bunch of random NRL players decide they want to play for Samoa this year and steamroll over them.

PNG have played less international matches than Samoa since 2011, and far less than the USA.

And the USA (assuming their twitter didn't lie to me) had 5 domestic players and 10 US Nationals, defeating a side (Cooks) who were stacked with NRL and SL talent.

Funny how the naysayers always wait for one bad game to stick the boot in, weren't around for all the good matches.

The moral of this story - as it is with every side in this RLWC - is they need more international matches outside of world cups - with access to players.
