Parra cost themselves the win,Norman,Hoppa,Semi,Morgan Toutati etc etc are all donkeys
norman is average as f**k & can't kick for shit! would rather have kelly at 6 or even swap hoppa to 6 & norman to centre. they need some better outside backs, hoppa & toutai did jack shit on the right side.
They should scrap the quick tap but I don't think gus ranting on and on without explaining correctly why It wasn't a try and showing Sandow no where even near the mark, the commentators cause a lot of the hysteria about decisions sometimes.
How many sports can there be where a child has a say in the result? This sport will never get close to be global until the refs can't decide who wins.
We had our chances though and f**ked it. Hayne would be an immortal already if he played for an NRL side, instead of this team of NSW Cup spastics he has had to waste his career on.
Sandow has more responsibility to know the rules than a ball boy.
I can't recall anything that stands out as something that demanded a penalty that wasn't given.
The refs let the boys play and decide the result, surely that's what we want to see?
I was at the game and was convinced the 40/20 call was made because Sandow didn't tap it correctly. Looked like he didn't even get close to be honest. Was a fun game overall anyway.
Some observations:
1. Gus is right, stupid rule
2. Gus wasn't/isn't as vocal when the rules rely on the tv men ie when they used to allow the video ref to call foul play but it was reliant on the tv broadcaster to show him the replay (still not sure what the current situation is as the "interpretations" of rules all seem confused to me)
3. Parra should have done more with the set of 6 after the 40/20 - I don't think Hayne touched the ball.
4. The game was lost in the first half when Canterbury got all the penalties and Parra none. The Dogs were consistently picking up Parra players legs and continuing to drive players back in tackles after the ref call held - this has been illegal for years. Not one penalty. Once the game was allowed to flow, Dogs never looked like scoring.
