I'm sure there are better ways to take the game to the bush. This fixture is outdated and needs the chop. As you said JW, it's a joke now.

Buhrer starts, Lichaa now on the bench, and Lussick brought in.

Tyrone Peachey (7 NRL games) is the new 18th man for City.

Why not just mandate it that every team takes one home game every second year to a rural area? It would beat the shit out of this ridiculous concept

This match is not great for the bush. Some teams already take games to the country. Make every team do it on a semi regular fixture and the bush gets much more out of it than they get from this.

No serious first grader wants to go to the middle of nowhere and risk injury when they could get a precious rest and recharge batteries for the games they really care about.

He might have been 18th once or twice. But as you said, that's neither here nor there, the point made is a fair one. I guess Rochow could be a guy like that but with the 2nd row depth, I just don't see it myself.
I'm not even saying he's that good, I'm just saying it's probably the best he'll ever be. There are some Knights fans who think he's destined to be a rep mainstay.

All players should be made to go through medicals held by the NRL if they are going to pull out. This is a joke, there are way to many players being ruled out that even the blind can see this is just clubs not taking the game seriously. Any player not injured shouldn't be eligible for origin at all. Even the under 20's isn't being taken seriously by some clubs. The only reason this isn't being taken seriously is because of the SYDNEY clubs. You know what, make part of the new funding be that they have to make their players available for these rep games or lose a million in funding. Watch these Sydney teams never do this again.

It's bullshit because the clubs that don't take it seriously are getting rewarded because their blokes get a week off but the ones that do the right thing and honor it don't.

The Dragons I find most disappointing. If it wasn't for Country RL the likes of Dugan and Merrin wouldn't even be playing.

This game is really just about Mullen v J.Reynolds. Why don't they just put these 2 out on the field and put them through a series of tests such as kicking accuracy, speed tests, one on one tackling, passing at moving targets, endurance etc.

A kind of one on one talent contest if you will. Whoever wins gets the NSW #6. While we're at it, the loser can have the #7.............

A Manly player no matter what.

Check OP: still not corrected.

Not that I'm complaining mind.

This is not my favorite game of the season but I'm a footy fan so I try to get into it. It's interesting just watching player combinations that you wouldn't usually see. The halves especially.
