those last two posts bode ill for the raiders

Panthers are a decent side on the rise, the Raiders seem to be at least making teams play near enough to a full 80 minutes to beat them this year, so i think we'll give it a good shot.

My feeling on the Raiders is we'll be a solid football team all year, we'll win games when the other team doesnt play well, and we'll lose games when they do play well. Our level wont change much up or down.

So we'll see how the Panthers show up.

Well the Panthers line-up this week should be our strongest side this season. Assuming the coach doesn't drop Tim Grant at the last minute, and Mansour and Wallace are fit to play and not late withdrawals.

Not sure how they will perform with combinations yet to be built. But with any luck we can atleast keep this side together for a few games and see where we need to improve once we find form as a team.

Last week I thought I could guarantee winning our next two games by throwing $10 on Eels to win against Panthers, $10 on Raiders to win against Panthers, and a $10 multibet for both results. The loss to Eels paid back just over $20, if we lose this week it will pay out another $80. Given my multi bets always get lost on the last game if not earlier, the form line of Panthers being WLWL, and the Raiders form line being LWLW... the Panthers are a sure thing this week.

I've tipped against us for this one; won't be confident until we've got some consistency in the line up. That said, this is probably the best side we've named all year. Sika Manu will look better in the backrow. DWZ outside Whare will be exciting (though Penrith fans will undoubtedly get carried away with the build up).

Hopefully Brown drops off instead of Peachy, but I doubt it.

I just don't trust the Raiders.

Good panthers side. Not confident even after beating the bunnies. I get the feeling this panthers side is just going to click one week and go on a run. Hope its not this week.

Never really sure what the Raiders will do tbh. Hopefully they don't play like a busted arse.

Didn't TLL play NSW Cup last week as well?

Good to see Stuart opt for stability in the side and not rush people like TLL back. Hopefully being made to fight his way back into the first grade team will inspire him to put in some effort.

Otherwise he can f**k off, given how often he is injured.

He is chewing up A LOT of salary cap tbh especially with the emergence of Vaughan and with Boyd coming through on top of that.

I'd prefer Vaughan or Boyd over TLL at this point. Good to see Ricky feels the same.

Edit: Just looked up his stats. 111 games in 8 seasons.

TLL problem is that he is injury prone and lumbering when we already have a couple of big lumbering oafs. In isolation you could probably take one. If he was more mobile and injury prone maybe offer him a reduce deal or if he was less injury prone but lumbering the same. He would basically be a higher impact Tilse if that was the case.

But the fact he is injury prone and just another big oaf for little guys to exploit in our twenty means its probably time for us to move on. Sad because he was my favourite player for awhile but its a business and he is off contract this year. Makes sense to part ways. Maybe at his next club he might have a bit more luck with injuries. I certainly don't wish the guy ill will just I think we have better options (like Vaughan) and the worse options (like Tilse) are cheaper and on the field more.
