Lets not kid ourselves, it'll be between the Broncos and the Roosters here. Unless Hasler is a miracle worker, the Dogs won't have improved much and the Eels are the Eels.

If the Broncos perform badly, it should be a good sign of things to come under Griffin.

So a team that finished 5th last season with minimal squad changes has less chance of competing than a club that finished outside the eight and has lost a whole bunch of players?

Righto :thumb

correct me if i am wrong, but you had some success in the 13 man game because of your 3 quality 120 kg forwards and ben barba.
do you think the attrition of tackling big forwards will work the same in nines?
and where is the barba boy?

please dont tell me you think josh morris and josh jackson will carve up?

Given that not one of the four teams in the group have even named a squad...

Would be interesting to see if the big man kasiano gets a run. With 9 players surely no teams could number up on him and with his offload and size would be very hard to sto. Interesting to see how it all plays out really

I think the Dogs will do a lot better than some here expect.

Des as a player used to go really well in the Sevens.

Plus his borderline-OCD methods will know doubt have some wacky schemes to win some of those Dessie dollars.

Eels/Roosters to fight the other qualifying spot depending on who's in each squad.

I saw we just send every kiwi player in our team over. Should be able to fill the 17 required.

Historically Dogs have never taken this sort of shit seriously, so tempered with what Patorick says it will be interesting to see what we do.

I expect the roosters to struggle and probably finish bottom of the group here. I would think we will field the weakest team the rules will allow us to and beef up the team to play in the trial on the 16th in preparation for the WCC.

Considering the roosters will be sending blokes they've pulled off the street from bondi and griffin has never coached a single attacking play, this is probably the weakest of the pools.
