Lol at Qld saying DCE hadn't trained to play at halfback. He was picked to cover injury, to say he hadn't trained in the halves is stupid

The thing is at centre you're limited by how good your delivery is. Every time he got the ball he had a wall infront of him. The timing of the passes to him were awful. And he still contributed to 2 tries with a decoy run and a try assist.

He isn't a centre. He plays centre for 3 weeks a year. He would have done more than Slater at fullback.

End yourself merkin.

you know if QLD play like they did in the 2nd half for 80 minutes, it's a no contest

You know that the score was 4-2 in the 2nd half, right? QLD had about a billion percent of possession and scored one try right in the corner

Beau Scott's arm grabbing led to two line breaks from QLD. He needs to go.

Hodkinson already has more repeat sets forced than Mitch Puss and had a couple of OK touches. At least he didn't murder any overlaps.

Year , after year, since Hagan come on board, Queensland fail to come up with any plays that get the ball to Inglis in space.

Qld actually looked like they had no structure in attack and Thurston was found wanting...maybe age is catching up on Smith as well as there was no spark in his attack and options were poor.

It's certainly no excuse but DCE looked out of rhythm with everyone around him.

Hayne has to be man of the match. He played fullback, halfback, and 5/8 for the last 20 minutes.

Gallen a close 2nd. Great hard running, sure. Defence though was superhuman. A try saving tackle on Slater, pulling him down by the jersey. Locked up the middle of the field all on his own at times.

Honourable mentions to Aaron Woods and Tamou for some top tough runs up the middle, and Jennings for absolutely murdering the QLD right edge defence, capped off with a class try saver on Teo in the last 10 minutes.

Have to say, Hodkinson completely shat the bed. Unsighted in attack, defended ok I suppose, and kicked so poorly that the duties had to be taken off him when the pressure was on. Of course we have to stick with him though as he will be much better for the run.

Only change that MUST be made for NSW is the surgical removal and destruction of one Beau Scott. Without him on the field QLD don't score a point.

Don't know what you were watching. He was great in attack, his role wasn't to take on the line every single time but to organise the attack and make every pass hit the mark (which QLD couldn't do). Hayne kicked towards the end because he has a freakishly long boot. No one can kick a ball as far as he can

Anyone want to play halfback for Storm this weekend ?...you will have to partner Ben Roberts and I don't blame you if this turns you all off...
