You'd be annoyed if you were Maguire I think, but they slackened off after going 40-0 up. They were very impressive that first 65 minutes or so. Laughable to even bring the refs into discussion, Souths just dominated.

And yet the dummies here still will..

f**k me getting sick of these blow-out games. Bring on the tight close games that aren't over after 15 minutes please.

Geez good thing no manly supporters were there to see that pathetic display, it was almost like the players were in need of inspiration...

Souths will murder Penrith or the Bulldogs. If Penrith upset the Roosters, then a Souths-Roosters preliminary would be interesting. Melbourne if they win through can certainly never be written off.

Souths will be playing the cowboys (who will beat brisbane and penrith). They cant face the bulldogs.

Manly, storm, and Bulldogs are all on the other side of the draw to souths now with one of them (storm IMO) playing us in the other prelim assuming we beat penrith tomorrow

Better rethink that equation,Panthers will have a nice easy week off assuming we beat the Rorters ,nah, when we beat the Rorters !:D

What a win. Exactly the display I've been waiting for all season from Souths and exactly at the right time

That said with key injuries and a depleted forward rotation (of an already middle of the road pack) there is only so much you can take from that. Roosters and even Cowboys with their forward strength are a whole different level

Can't wait, great win. Really well positioned right now

Clinical performance for the first 65, we obviously started to put the foot off the gas, but with a 40-0 scoreline honestly which team wouldn't?

Bit disappointing we let in 24 points but at the end of the day we have a week off to rest our players (none of which will be injured or suspended, and Te'o returns) and we'll be firing to get a crack to make it to the big one after 2 years of failure.

Its a Manly home game. Why are they playing the souths winning song ?

That's what happens in finals. Souths home preliminary against Manly last year and Eagle Rock played. Just like the Canberra Green Machine song when they played Souths in finals a couple of years ago.

I think the NRL changed it about 3 years ago.

Lucky Newie are not in the finals.

Well yes obviously it's entertaining when it's your team. As a neutral though it's getting pretty old. I expect the other games will be closer anyway, except maybe Storm v Bulldogs if Storm turn up.

Souths played well but the week off can be a hindrance...Storm and the Dogs will be loving this result and either will go into next week with some big confidence.
