Locke isn't better or even on par.

If fit and with his head screwed on properly, Locke is at the very least on par with Tomkins in the 1.5 games we've seen of Tomkins so far.

But too many variables in that, Tomkins needs time to settle in and we haven't got the best out of Locke since Bluey came in after 2011.

Can see the Dragons taking a few 40/20 shots in this one as opposed to the Warriors bomb, bomb, and more bomb.

Hope Johnson paid attention to Widdops chip though. One over the top for Tomkins with the ball drifting back would be nice, especially if Fish is in on it too for support.

I thought Tomkins played well in the first half. Plenty of involvement. Provides an extra ball player for the defence to keep an eye on. Has a short kicking game as well.

Yeah, but Locke is away with the fairies and constantly injured so if Tomkins can simply stay fit, he's already better than Locke.

Locke is a ball runner who has no support play, as a playmaker he's ordinary and his first option is always to ball play. So if he's not a playmaking fullback or a support playing fullback he's just Josh Hoffman without the size and strength.

Being the key, Lockes upside is mediocre and injury prone, obviously the Warriors share that view.

Not a bad tactic, but anything repeated over and over starts to lose it's effectiveness.

I think the Dragons will bomb a fair bit, but I also think they'll take a shot at the 40/20 if the opportunity arises.

I think veryone has the mindset to a degree but theres also so much nit picking and complaints which just don't make a hell of a lot of sense. I do prefer that over the 'keep the faith' 'lets go warriorz' optimism though.
