Don't know if there's any sledging required. Raiders will win this if they're fair dinkum.

neither side really have any rights to be bragging right now... 13+ will be the margin, im just not sure which way

Either the knights will be shamed into a big bounce back performance in front of a home crowd and comfortably beat a mentally weak raiders side

or the Raiders will turn up ready to build on their positives of their round 1 disappointment and comfortably beat an under strength knights side

This.

The Raiders gave it their all in Rd 1 & unfortunately came up just short.

If the raiders can't thrash a team missing their whole first choice spine, then there's no hope for them.

If there's a team that can find a way to lose against us at the moment, it'll be the Raiders.

Andrew Johns said on the footy show yesterday that Gidley and Roberts should be right to go next weekend so I don't think it's as bad as Knight's fans are making it out to be. Derpius Boyd is no loss.

Gidley playing is a positive for us.

Looking forward to a nice, easy win to kick start our season.

Johns actually knows very little about what's going on in the club these days. I spoke to a few blokes affiliated with the club through the local league last night and they said that Gidley isn't right at all. They said that if the game was played today there's no way he'd line up but they'll have to wait and see if he improves. You might not rate him or Derpius but they're absolutely huge losses for us given their positions and the fact we've already lost Mullo.

Stop trying to down play our situation. It's dire with the disruption we've had. If the Raiders are at all serious they'll beat us and do it well. I hate making excuses but sometimes you've just gotta call a spade a spade and acknowledge when you're up shit creek without a paddle in sight. I'm sure as a Raiders fan you can recognise a club is in a hole when the two most likely to line up in their spine are Dobson and Waddell.

Joey said he "rang Gids" that morning and spoke to him.

Seems a lot can happen in 30 hours or so then because from what I've heard his recovery has been very slow. I say they'll give him until later in the week to make a definite decision.

It's all sunshine's and friggin lollipops at the raiders too!
We only have a fullback who has signed elsewhere already, a 5/8th playing his 2nd game ever at the position in the top grade, the worlds biggest halfback, playing on a knee that could literally give way any moment now and absolutely no one of any talent or ability at hooker.

The knights are still favored by 6+ points by the bookies. So break it down any way you like, this is very winnable for both sides. Neither are in a great place right now. You dont get to have a mortgage on the "call a spade a spade and acknowledge when you're up shit creek without a paddle in sight." label.

It's too early in the season to establish any real form. People will be expecting the Knights to be fired up this weekend, hence the markets at the moment (although I expect the Raiders odds will shorten substantially once the teams are named).

Now, that's enough sensible talk for one Knights vs. Raiders thread. Let the vitriol flow, people.
