We only won 3 or so of our first 12.

We were shit right up until the end of Origin, than lost Scott, Cooper and Tate for extended periods. Guys who are easily in or top 5 or so players.

It's been a remarkable turnaround.

I stand corrected. We only won 7 by r17 and it looked like the season was gone.

Not exactly. Manly has the same number of loses. It is the F/A that wins it for them.

Well done to the Cows. Way too good for us last night. We defended well to hold them to 30 in the end, even if they lost the desire a bit to score more. They had a lot of good field position.

It is hard to see how we lift from here. All hands to battle stations. Hopefully we win next week and send Souths onto the opposite side of the draw. In some ways I think we were better off finishing 2nd. The Bunnies don't get the weakened Roosters this week. And we have often been a bit of a curse for them in finals footy. Hopefully we get a South/Cowboys run to get to the GF now if we are somehow good enough. As long as we don't have to go to NQLD again, I'm ok to play the Cows again in Sydney.

It shouldn't be the case, but it usually feels like 1st gets the tougher run in for some reason.
