Souths got away with absolute murder in the ruck.

Not that in mattered, that was close to the most insipid attacking performance all year from Penrith.

Great defence from Rabbits. Penrith tried really hard but never looked threatening. Soward's kicking game was outstanding.

Hard to read much into a wet game like that but good win Bunnies.

It ended up being a very bizarre game from Penrith halves. Like they thought the game was won in repeat sets. None of their kicks had any real attacking pressure on them. Just getting it in goal for the sake of it

Exactly. And we are not exactly all that great in defense either, despite it supposedly being our strength. I've thought that most of the teams we have faced so far have been mostly mediocre in attack, South tonight very much included; the only team that has really attacked us with verve so far this season put 30 on us.

To be precise and fair, our attack is lacking variance and structure.

Our defense did all it could, but it is imperative that when you have that much ball, you have to have something to show for it or doubts start creeping in.

Compared to Souths were their attack as you noted was crisp and clean with players running their lines very well.

This is a sign of a very well coached outfit.

I don't mind losing as much as long as it's to a side that plays for it as well as Souths displayed tonight.

Thing is, I think at the Warriors, Cleary had more game-breakers to call on to provide an injection of something different. It's not really the case here. We don't even want to start Segeyaro.

100% correct.

The fact is that if it weren't for two last minute victories against the Storm (08) and Tigers (11) off the back of individual moments of brilliance Cleary would have the same amount of playoff wins as Elliott.

Now I think Cleary is a far superior coach to Elliott, but some late season surges and the Warriors horrible succession plan has made Cleary look a little better than his record suggests.

However, those game-breakers all came from the Warriors lower grades which Cleary had a big hand in establishing and developing. From what I've seen he and Gould have done a similar thing with you guys.

Cleary will keep the team competing and you'll be close in most matches. It's just a case of how long it takes those game-breakers to develop through the ranks and start making those clutch plays that Cleary coached sides need sometimes to get them over the line.

I still don't think it was the wrong decision to let Cleary leave the Warriors, but rather some poor management in his succession that has caused the Warriors issues. However, outside of my own team I would like to see Cleary win one because he's been close as a player and coach with us and if anyone deserves the ultimate success he'd be near the top of my list.

Penriff, Penriff, Penriff. You had one job. One job! To lol@souffs, and you couldn't even manage that!

It was 7 years ago and we played Souths at the Olympic Stadium and the weather was absolutely atrocious, very much worse than today and last week combined.

The score? 14-4 to Souths...Penrith did not score a try in that game either.

Didn't think either team played particularly well. Good defense by Souths obviously but Penrith didn't throw much at them.

Nabuli & dry weather Penrith win this game

Lol.....no.

You had the ball for the entire first half and couldn't score. We barely cracked a sweat keeping you out.

Perhaps if you had a set of halves that could do anything except roll it into the dead ball area, you might have a chance of scoring a try.

Uh huh

There was nothing wrong with Penrith's handling in this game, the weather didn't have a huge effect on Penrith. If anything the score would have been wider as South's handling would have improved.

Another game we dominate and lose.

Scoring only 2 points with all the ball we had in Souths half is embarrassing.

Suck a dick soward and wallace, useless.

Not sure how you can blame the halves when they're the reason we dominated field position and possession. Nobody was running lines to open up space for points to come.

They weren't perfect, but I expect that they did exactly as they were wanted to do by the coach.

Cool we dominated field possession and field position, but what did they do with it ??

Their organising skills were non existent, we got in there 20 and no merkin knew what they were doing.

We put in statistically one of the greatest defending performances in history.

Like usual it's all about what the Panthers did or didn't do and no credit is being given to our record breaking effort.
