We put in statistically one of the greatest defending performances in history.

Like usual it's all about what the Panthers did or didn't do and no credit is being given to our record breaking effort.

Deadset. It's not like the conditions and Panthers offering nothing in attack had anything to do with it. Panthers have been held out by nearly every team we have played this year while dominating possession. Their attack is nowhere near having clicked yet. No decoys or people creating space. Way too many errors.

There's been plenty of games with rain. And there has been plenty of performances much worse than the Panthers last night. But nobody has ever tackled like we did since they started recording tackles.

Why can't it be both? Souths had a huge defensive effort and never gave in to mountains of pressure and opposition possession. A lot of teams would have just capitulated under having to defend their line for so long. But Penrith just never looked threatening enough against a side willing to back it's defence

Sad Penrith seem to have gone backwards in attack when they were very exciting to watch last year

Reminds me of the Dragons last year. I think they were the competition leaders for most sets in the opposition 20 without a try
