Glad Broncos fans are happy. Two points any time and especially on a Friday night to start the weekend is always great.

But f**k, if you think this was a great win then you need to check again.

What exactly are we checking? You can only play against your presented opposition. If you're suggesting we only won because Newcastle were terrible then that's a long bow to draw. We made the most of what you gave us at crucial moments and we made you pay for it.

In all honesty though, Bennett needs to start making some choices. You guys have some big weaknesses in certain positions. Numero uno, Kurt Gidley.

The only choice Bennett needs to make is at what stage he quits the Knights and goes back to the Broncos.

I believe we finished with all the right stats except the most important, no? It suggests that had we capitalised, this would have had a very different result. I credit your defence, it was excellent to hold some of our big guys up and f**k, we could have been on zero.

Gidley is a useless hooker, we actually looked dangerous with Clydsdale on the field. Boyd is a skirt who doesn't deserve to wear our strip. Houston blew every chance he had to off load the ball to BJ and Jimmy. We had some dead shit moments from BJ, Roberts and Scott but man, those three killed us.

It was a good win from the Broncos, but I just can't give the full congratulations given how poorly we played.

Congrats Broncos. Your defense was absolutely outstanding and when our usual tricks didn't work we turned to shit.

The severe issues we have in the forwards really get highlighted by good defensive sides.

You guys defiently deserve your strong victory. One of the best defensive performances I've seen live at a game.

Don't know where we can really go from here. It's not like we have a load of great forwards banging down the door.

Houston and Boyd are just deplorable but for different reasons.

The first 20 minutes was all Newcastle, they did a lot right and made few mistakes, got plenty of repeat sets, the difference was our defense. That was the turning point in the game, the Broncos defense had a lot to do with the knights falling to bits and making bad calls in attack. You wanna talk about bombed chances, Hoffman bombed a few tonight as usual, including a clean break where all he had to do was pass outside to Reed and he couldn't even do that, you should be glad we had Hoffman in the 6 otherwise we could have put 50 on you tonight.

That's probably one of two things I'm happy about tonight's result

Mamo and McManus both looked dangerous every time they were given decent ball but the Knights insisted on not giving it to them.

This is pretty standard for us of late. Our wingers are more likely to catch a cold in an attacking play than the ball.

We were pretty awful, Broncos were switched on. Not much more to it...

You're wrong mate. That was a great win by Brisbane. Their outstanding goal line defense was the difference. It absolutely frustrated us out of the game because we weren't used to it. Usually when we have a bad loss it's because we have zero possession and we don't give ourselves enough attacking opportunities. We held the ball tonight though and gave ourselves plenty of opportunities but we turned to shit because our attack just wasn't working against their brilliant defense and we didn't know how to deal with that. Full credit to them.

Whine all you want about the penalty count, it was deserved. Missed a few blatant high shots, too.

what about the shoulder charge on Corey Parker's head, he will get a few weeks for that and the referees didn't see it until they had gone on with the game
