You cant award a penalty for an incident on a previous play. Blame the refs for being too slow picking the incident up.

Well, the referees can't go back several plays and blow the penalties otherwise you get situations where a try could be scored, but it's denied for something that happened a set or so ago and only got pulled up due to the video referees.

It's frustrating and clearly it was the biggest missed call of the game.

Definitely a lot of home town refereeing about the performance, it was a credit to the Broncos defence that they didn't let it get to them.

When you've got IBM posting so much in one thread it understandably gives off that impression.

It may be that. He's a special one.

In all honesty though, Bennett needs to start making some choices. You guys have some big weaknesses in certain positions. Numero uno, Kurt Gidley.

First smart thing you've said in this thread. Gidley, Houston, and Boyd have been largely terrible since round one and they're somehow still in the mix.

I get that Darius is Bennett's bastard son, but there's no excuse for the other two having a continued role in the team when they're such a liability.

Fair call. Bennett as head of coaching with Griffin as defensive and Walters in offense.

I wish you would take him. At least with Stone on board, we were losing and being entertaining in the process.

This is pretty standard for us of late. Our wingers are more likely to catch a cold in an attacking play than the ball.

We were pretty awful, Broncos were switched on. Not much more to it...

Felt bad for Mamo. He was having a great debut game, but nobody seemed to want to spin the ball out his way.

I'm actually not surprised at the result, I think Brisbane have been playing better than people have been giving them credit for.

The weak areas have been their kicking game, which was improved tonight, and their handling of bombs, which also improved.

The big changes from last year have been their fitness, commitment in defence, second phase play and McCullough being able to play more game time.

I can see Brisbane being a top 8 side this year quite comfortably. The only change I would make to them would be to shift Hoffman out of the halves, hell maybe Granville could take a shot at it?

It may just be me, but almost every time Klein refs the Broncos we get dudded.

I believe we finished with all the right stats except the most important, no? It suggests that had we capitalised, this would have had a very different result. I credit your defence, it was excellent to hold some of our big guys up and f**k, we could have been on zero.

Gidley is a useless hooker, we actually looked dangerous with Clydsdale on the field. Boyd is a skirt who doesn't deserve to wear our strip. Houston blew every chance he had to off load the ball to BJ and Jimmy. We had some dead shit moments from BJ, Roberts and Scott but man, those three killed us.

It was a good win from the Broncos, but I just can't give the full congratulations given how poorly we played.

No

Knights had more ball, less missed less tackles, and made less tackles.

Broncos made more metres by 201 with less ball, made 8 line breaks to 3, kicked for 130 more metres, made 12 try saver tackles compared to 0 from the knights and scored 6 tries to 1.

The only thing the Knights did better than the Broncos was miss less tackles really and force a couple of extra goal line drop outs. So again No the Knights didn't finish with all the right stats, unless when you say except most important you mean try saving tackles, line breaks, metres kicked, metres gained and actual tries scored.

2 off Broncos try's were complete flukes in the first half. Knights were the better team in the first half but the bounce of the ball went the broncos way, as did the get out of trouble penalties all game.

Second half Knights just gave up because the Ch9 Broncos were never gonna lose with everything possible going the Broncos way

I remember the refs waiting until the end of the set before going back to a penalty from the first or second tackle earlier this year

Cry me a river. If the roles had been reversed you would be singing a different tune about how good the knights were, no flukes, you make your own luck, great tries blah blah blah..... go crawl back under your rocky you have NFI. Your prediction made me laugh.
