And last week we lost because of the idiots in pink. Shit happens.

Bottom line is at our best I think we're better than the Broncos at their best.

If that's both teams "best" their "best" just ain't good enough. Great game though.

I don't have a problem with either penalty at the end. In the first one Hunt knocked the ball out in a 2 man tackle and Parker never got back 10 so what was the problem?

It was the broncos to win at the end and they screwed up magnificently.

If the ruck was the speed it was in the opening couple of weeks, as per the new interpretations, and not slowed down so souths big forwards can get back on side the broncos would have won.

I don't know why people are saying we are hopeless, with a more experience halfback we probably would have beaten the premiers as well as Souffs (both finished top of the table last season)

we're not hopeless we just lack a quality half who can kill off a game with a good kicking game

Can definitely understand this point. I thought souths got pretty lucky not to be penalised at some points, they were all over the ruck.

That set leading up to Hunt's field goal attempt was... embarrassing. Sterlo said that he saw Barba directing traffic in the lead up to tackle 5. If that's true, maybe Hunt should take that responsibility next time.

Still, I'm confident we're better than at least half of the comp when we play for the full 80.

For once the refs had the nerve to blow a penalty to decide a game. Usually they turn a blind eye when the games on the line.

That's about the peak of the Donkey's powers with the terrible halves and outside backs they have. Souths however, have plenty of improvement in them and I like the look of the winger on debut. It must be great for Souths fans not to have to worry about the liability that is Merritt. He won't see FG again.

I think tonight's game was a reflection of one team playing to the best of it's ability with some dead weight has been players dragging them down and another side that can do so much more with 1 or 2 more classy outside backs.

Gillett got the ball out of nowhere standing still on the fourth tackle, no one was calling the shots in that lead up.

I understand that you're excited, but that wasn't one of the Broncos better games. Way too much dropped ball and too many soft tries let in.

I think both teams can improve a lot, which is encouraging early in the season. Wouldn't be disappointed if I followed either team (except of course with the final penalty which did kinda suck).

The ruck speed favoured souths size, play the game in the first 3 rds and souths would have struggled, which is probably why the interpretation seems to have gone out the window and we are back to last years wrestle mania. Broncos had no problems scoring points while in souths half, it was getting it down there that was the problem and that's because their smaller mobile forwards couldn't get any quick play the balls.

Tell me just what I'd be excited about again? I don't follow either side and I was merely giving my opinion. Dropped ball and soft tries go hand in hand with most Broncs performances these days in case you haven't been watching them.

I thought their intensity was good and the forwards hit hard in defence but they severely lack class in most areas. Hodges is a husk of the player he was, Barba is now rubbish and uninterested and Maranta and Reed? Just fu*king lol. Also, Hunt only looks ok against piss poor opposition.

How good do you think they could be with this current roster? I'd say they're overachieving if anything.
