Brown is a long way from NRL. Would have been ok at 9's but his defensive decision making was exploited a lot in State Cup today.

Great speed though

Nothing major. Williams picked him out. Waters, Big T and Brown made a very poor combination. It settled a bit when he was shifted to the right side.

All in all the game was one up the guts. Bullock was one of their best today and with the scoreline in their favour with limited time remaining it allowed Fletch to run a lot of the young forwards together at the same time which will be great for their confidence.

Hitchcox went down with a knee/ankle injury though in the only sour note

Thanks gronk, I think feedback/updates opinion from the NSW Cup games is more important than the junior results.

Keep it up please.

No structure in attack (tick)
Poor discipline (tick)
Feeble marker defence (tick)
Dominated in the forwards (tick)
Poor last tackle options (tick)
Anasta (tick)

The team has picked up exactly where it left off last year.

It is going to be a long year. There are some good signs for the future but basically more of the same shit from previous years.

On another note though we must be physically the weakest team in the comp. We are always getting dominated in the first contact in most plays.

Has there been anymore mentioned about Potters criticism of seniors players influencing Brooks to change his set game plan ?

I missed the first 30 minutes but the last 50 looked horrible.

Way too many penalties for really stupid stuff like stripping the ball, laying on the tackled player too long. Simple stuff that needs to be cut out.

The ruck and marker defence was atrocious. Soft tries scored simply because there was too much room given around the ruck and the markers were not set half the time.

Whilst we are mentioning defence, there were just way too many players missing the first contact. The Dragons were not that good but they just rolled over the top of us.

Tapau and Gavet were the only ones that seemed to give us any go forward. Sue looked ok other than combining with Woods for a stupid, school boy error on our line.

The kicking and last play options were complete shit. Anasta was completely useless, either kicking it over Richard's head into the grandstand, kicking it dead or kicking it for an easy take in the in-goal. Brooks looked to shank a couple of kicks as well and Robbie had another go at a shocker.

Overall, there was no cohesion, it looked like the guys had never trained together before. It just seemed like an extremely soft effort all around. Soft defence letting in soft tries.

Heads up Guys.

You have a number of players to come back and Robbie had a particularly poor game, one that won't be repeated for some time.

On the bright side, Tedesco is a bloody gun and will assist you well in winning some matches. In the first 20 minutes, you had it all over us and for some reason the wheels fell off.

You, like us won't make the top 4, but will win many matches and most certainly will avoid the spoon.

Good luck and best wishes for the rest of the season.

Also when is Potter going to accept that Bodene Thompson is a lazy, fat slug. He offers up a absolutely nothing, I never want to see him in the 17 again.

I'm thinking the make up of the pack might have let us down a bit yesterday. A hot 28 degrees at 3pm in the sun and we've got Woods, Tapau, Blair + a 3 man middle third rotation on the bench (Ava, Sue, Gavet). It's been noted that Robbie's had a rare shocker and Fulton (work horse defender) gets stretchered off the field. From that point on (in the heat) we weren't mobile enough. Without Fulton we struggle to lock things down defensively around the ruck and their more mobile pack pour through us relatively easily. The penalties come as a result of that and when we do get some ball we can't build pressure due to an atrocious kicking game. Honestly between the new half, Anasta and Robbie we come up with not one decent last tackle kicking play!

Starting to be the norm after first game of season! Pull your farkng head in.
Busted his arse all last season. No-one came near him for Origin.
Been carrying a team in cntention for the wooden spoon for two or three seasons now.
What more do you want from Robbie?
A champion continually let down by teammates.

Hey Charlie, perhaps I was a bit harsh on my assessment of Farah.

If you were personally happy with his form in the second half of last season, the decisions he made as captain, his ability to control play, his attitude etc etc I guess I am wrong to make the comment I did....I guess I am worried that it carried over into the first game of this year.

So far as no one getting near him at origin, I accept that is true so far as NSW hookers. He is behind Smith, Friend, Luke and maybe Ballin (Qlder's or a Kiwi).

I am not calling for his head, the Segeyaro comment was tongue in cheek but he needs to lift his game in my opinion....others might let him down but what do I want from him? I'd say the form he was in during 2010 and 11.

He is arguably behind Smith, he sh!ts on the rest of those hookers. Put Farah behind a Souths, Roosters or Manly pack and you would see just how far ahead of them he is.

Yeah, you are both probably right...I guess I'm just frustrated to lose to a side I thought we should and could have beaten.
