So Simona is out for this game & Lawrence has been named as his replacement, despite being listed as having a hamstring injury expected to rule him out for 2 more games.

I don't have a good feeling about that.

He was cleared yesterday, completed a full training session yesterday

Can we get the Broncos team doctor? Seriously Patterson got up not long after the penalty has awarded but we don't see him again. Then Teddy. All this on the back of resting simona who was smiling on the bench 10 minutes after his concussion and Fulton. This new rule is bullshit. Some teams are taking it to the letter of the law and others are bending it.

Yeah thats when a player like fulton is handy . But I think with this stupid new head rule the four forwards may need to be revised.

That is where the concussion rule is flawed,the WT were cruelled by two concussions through no fault of their own today,Tedds incident was deemed accidently IMO it was more careless, while Pattersons incident warranted a penalty.
If a player is concussd through illegal play and takes no further part in the game a 5th replacement should be allowed.If two players are taken out illegally than two replacements would be then allowed from players who played in the earlier game.
At least eliminates the disadvantage the WT experienced today.

I like your proposal regarding illegal play, simple isn't it, if player goes on report, the 18th man comes into play. Even if it was only allowed in the 1st half I would be happy.

Yeah would have to be in the first half only otherwise it's open to rorting

Your right clubs may try to rort it but first the player has to be concussed from an illegal tackle which the ref has to rule on,doctors will also become involved in the process to confirm the concussion.There probably will be situations where a replacement becomes an 18th man after taking the field once the concussion is confirmed.
Maybe to prevent rorting concussed players are then automatically ruled out for the following week.!

And the defensive issues on Lawrence's side aren't all his fault, those defending on his side (after the team reshuffled to cover Tedesco) were:
Lawrence - 13 tackles - 1 ineffective, 2 missed, 0 one on one tackles
Brooks - 8 tackles - 2 ineffective, 8 missed, 3 one on one tackles
Richards - 2 tackles - 0 ineffective, 4 missed, 0 one on one tackles
Blair - 32 tackles, 2 ineffective, 7 missed, 2 one on one tackles

thats 21 of our 35 missed tackles in those 4 players.
