What's up with Thurston being an auto pick for test MoM?
He always plays well but on a couple of occasions others who have played better have missed out.
f**king this, it's amazing how often he gets it. Like you mentioned always plays well and sometimes amazing where he deserves it, but many games inbetween he just seems to get picked cause it seems the easy choice?

Never rated this Tapau guy because from what I've seen of him at the dogs he'd drop the ball a lot and get never ran hard enough for me.
Obviously playing for NZ was his dream come true because he gave it his all out there.
Adam Blair played unbelievable as well but I didn't see a better forward than Bromwich.

Never saw Taupau at the Dogs, but his great performance last night came as no surprise after seeing his club form this year. Sam Moa had a huge game as did Bromwich and Blair. The whole Kiwi pack really stood up.

Foran has been a bit of a disappointment at Test level, but I think that if he and Luke were there last night, the Kiwis win

I'd go one step further and say that if Josh Hoffman had been available or someone more experienced picked at fullback then that would have been enough to tip the scales. I feel sorry for Peta Hiku who had a really disappointing game at fullback. He may have been a little overwhelmed by it all.

How good is Bromwich...killed it big time and Taupau matched it and looks the goods.

The problem with the some of the Kiwi players is that their form at club level is not consistent enough to build a long term squad and this is the big problem IMO.

I don't think that's a fair criticism of the Kiwi players. It's easy to forget that the Australian spine with the exception of Thurston plays together week in, week out. The rest of the Australian players get a lot more time together due to State of Origin as well. This is why the Kiwis play better during actual tournaments than during the one off Tests.

Yeah, Hiku made a handful of errors. Not a dream debut, but I definitely hope it wasn't his last time in black.

The guy who really Nielsen'd us was Isaac John.

It wasnt too bad considering how much negativity this game received before hand, which I think is disgusting.
